The others are all too busy screaming "Religious Discrimination" when ever they think there's a chance of them either making a few bob or getting some free publicity, with such little work ! ! !

I had this problem in my old house-there was a Kingdom Hall just nearby so we got bombarded by them. I have a long history with the JW's (and I absolutely detest them), so when they came knocking about a month after I moved in, they got both barrels. I told them in no uncertain terms to F U C K OFF AND NEVER EVER KNOCK ON MY DOOR AGAIN. About 3 years later they came again, and I calmly asked them why they were bothering me after I'd made it as plain as could be that they were not welcome. Apparently, even if they get such the most hostile response possible, they still come back after a few years in case you've moved!

JW's simply do not understand reason, logic, and sense. If I could punch the next bloody JW to darken my door without getting into trouble with the law, I would.

A common misconception is that Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door because they feel it is their duty to "pester" a householder, or get him to "convert". In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses would go from door-to-door even if there were no hope that anyone would change their religion, or even if no one would listen to them!

That is because Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation, with no regard for specific results.

(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.

Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to direct attention to the bible, and move on when their message is unwanted. Since each congregation in the United States tries to call at every home in its territory at least twice each year, there is strong motivation for them to move on where little interest is shown. Also, the Scriptures help the Witnesses to expect little interest from most:

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

I can't remember the last time I was "constantly pestered" by anybody of any religion.

Come to think of it, I can't remember the first time.

I get more pestering from di**heads trying to get me to change gas and electricity suppliers.

because they can. America was founded on the right to choose,or not choose a religion. In the late1600's a bunch of Englishmen left England because the king at the time, proposed that "The Church Of England" be the only religion in England. So now what do you think of "cramming down the throat " ? Yes, they are as annoying as ant's at a picnic, but I would rather a group of people have the right to choose, than not.

If you want them to stop pestering you, come to the door in your underwear, glare at them, and then shut the door.

That's what my friend did, and he's never been bothered by them again.

As for me, I just answered to the door and said, "Would you like to convert to atheism? It makes a lot more sense!" They never came back.

When some other people from a different church came over, my dad invited them inside and as they told him how he could be saved, he kept asking "Why?" "How do you know that?" and questions like that. It's quite easy to get them to go away.

Did it ever occur to you their uniqueness might be a positive?
Maybe the others are lacking something.
After all, Jesus did say Matthew 28:19 and Matthew 24:14.
How would they do this? Door to door.
Acts 5:42, Acts 20:20.
Don't you hate it when what you don't want to accept can be backed-up by scripture?

I know, it's so irritating! Why don't they get a real job or try to help others by actually doing something good like helping those in need? Apparently they prefer to walk for hours bothering those who work all day to make a decent living.

Your VERY Question "itself" (IS PROOF) that ONLY Jehovah's CHRISTIAN Witnesses are Fulfilling Matt. 24:14 which says "This Good News of the KINGDOM Will be (PREACHED) to (ALL) the Nations" ! ! !

Your Question is ALSO "Proof" That NO ONE will be Able to "Claim" that I "Was NOT Afforded the OPPORTUNITY" to (NOT) Be "TOTALLY" (ASHAMED and Destroyed) at the Coming GREAT DAY of God Almighty ! ! !

Isnt that what Jesus told Christians to do. Try reading Acts 20:20 which says "you know that i have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you, but have taught you house to house" NIV Bible
