I am a virgin, and am by choice. I don't ever tell anyone i am, and only do so very late in the relationships, because i don't want to confuse people that i don't have sex!
Its hard sometimes, only because of persecution, and people judge you. But whatever I have decided to follow this path, has anyone followed this path and it really paid off, God Blessed them for being obedient?

Abstinence is always worth it!! People who don't practice abstinence don't know what they're missing!
I could go on for days about how pre-marital sex harms you, physically and spiritually and mentally...
Jason Evert is a very good person to turn to for info and abstinence for those of you who are interested. He has multiple books out...
For those of you practicing abstinence and saving yourselves for marriage: keep it up!

Abstinence before marriage is the perfect way to live. However, the bonus is the self-control that you are professing to God. Denying the flesh is a strength and very few people possess it.
God always blesses those who are obedient. You will have great rewards in heaven.

1. Good standing before God for obeying his laws.
2. Proving the Devil a liar, that we do not love God and his laws.
3. Self-respect
4. Respect of others, even though it's begrudging.
5. The best gift to a future marriage mate.
6. Protection from physical and emotional side-effects of immorality.
7. Happiness that comes from all of the above.

Yes! I know of many people that were blessed by being obedient to God! I have been blessed for being obedient, and I know other people that have also been blessed by being obedient. It is not a waste. With obedience comes a blessing.

I am abstinence at this time. You can always take care of your own sexual energy, so that you don't get in any trouble. You don't need a bad relationship, or to have safe sex turn out not so safe. Sex is not the most important thing in life. Also, one can direct ones sexual energy, more torward the spiritaul than a person. Sexual energy is a sort of bonding energy.

It is a known fact in the Bible that God was helping Adam to find a mate among the animals... and they couldn't find any.. no animal that Adam tried turned him on... so God created Eve because he admitted that it was no good for Adam to be alone... Adam knew all about sex by the time he met Eve!
