So then why is it that god wont answer yes to any amputee but will to a ... hep c patient or a cancer patient or like my aunt gloria, chronic moles (whatever that means ... aunt gloria is a bit daffed, I always said, "Aunty, you dont have any moles..." Reply, "Exactly!") But I digress...
Does this mean god doesnt approve of amputees for some reason? Or could it be perhaps that there were no moles to begin with, or that the kimo worked etc...

Humans are not starfish... you can't grow a limb once you've lost it. Go ahead, cut off one of your legs and wait for it to grow back. You'll be waiting for a very long time.

If you want an honest answer I will give it to you. God works through the laws of the universe and he purposely chooses to work in ways that people can explain as "natural". The reason he does this is that he will not break his own rules. For example, he will not turn off gravity just because it would be a convenient way to keep an airliner from crashing. That would be breaking his rule. He works with what is available. In the case of a limb, there is nothing available with which to work. In the case of diseases there still is.

Let's say the cancer was cured because of chemotherapy. Does that discount God's involvement? Maybe God helped the doctors choose the right chemotherapy plan, maybe he was the one who inspired the doctor who invented chemotherapy, maybe he used the chemotherapy in the patient in a way that cured the cancer better than it would have on its own. Can you tell whether that's the case? No. You can't tell. Could it be that God did not intervene? Sure, but it also could be that he DID. That's how God works. He does not materialize in front of you to convince you he exists for then it would take no faith to believe in him.

If you read about the miracles Jesus performed, you would know that there is no limit to his ability.

If you have read the scriptures, the NT, as a Christian you know that the healings and the resurrection of Jesus were meant as proof of what shall be done for all once the kingdom starts ruling the earth.

At the moment, we are all suffering under death that rules as king from Adam. This means that momentarily there is growing old, getting ill, and dying.

Thus God does not heal all now. He may permit some who have strong bodies to become well from a disease due to their own bodies inbuilt abilities. However, it is an up hill battle that no one can win and shall end in death for all.

That is not to say that he may not provide some help if prayed for -- but it is limited.

The question continues to be why would not the all-effective almighty regrow amputees' limbs? Occam's razor dictates the least puzzling clarification could be by means of fact there isn't any almighty, a minimum of not a benevolent one. definite, there is often a proof for all issues. seem to scientific technology to heal you. it is not proper and not consistently useful by way of an prolonged shot, even though it particular beats praying for a scientific guard maximum cancers to be surpassed down by way of mentioned sky spook. Ain't gonna ensue.

Because God has already given us a way to repair that arm or leg via technology as far as regrowth,
well i would think that there would be other things more pressing that re growing an arm,

like perhaps, being thankful for what you do have, and for the health of your children,ect...

Limb re growth might not be in gods plans as a miracle for you as there is a reason that it was lost to begin with

I wish you all the best my friend

I think you are missing the point. If a person's heart quits, they do not get a new heart. It can only be transplanted. We only are given one body. Sometimes, moles, cancer and other ailments go into remission or are cured by new medicines.Pray for an artificial limb if you are an amputee.

As dawkins said in The Root of All Evil? - "It is always something that could have gotten better on its own." Comparing the miniscule number of people that have been cured (which is easily represented by remission figures), there have been notable double blind tests showing that people being prayed for have no higher chance of survival.

In fact, it was shown that if people know they are being prayed for it is possible that this may make they even more distressed (thinking it must be serious if they are being prayed for), further contributing to their condition.

To William's answer "If you want an honest answer I will give it to you. God works through the laws of the universe"

No, that's not an honest answer. How can you honestly claim to know the mind of God? How can you honestly claim to know that god works through the laws of the universe? Indeed, your answer reeks with dishonesty.

Supernatural forces are not necessary, let alone essential to the explanation of natural laws.

You're reading too deeply into it. Sometimes cancer regresses. Sometimes your immune system beats viruses. Limbs don't grow back. This is further proof that God is not involved in the process at all and has nothing to do with whether or not he's in favor of people having amputations.

I don't think that you can cure anything with prayer. Medicine and moral support from people who love you is the only possible way to be cured. You can't tell me that if I had cancer and I sat at home with everyone praying over me that I'd be cured! That's just plain stupid.
