is it just me or are more Catholics taking the time to defend Christ's Church and faith on yahoo answers???

About a year ago there were several of us kicking around today I see more and more of us countering the rubbish posted by anti-Catholics and fallen away Catholics who never knew their faith.

Lazar you mean reports to yahoo answers? Could count the total on both hands. The only people I report are like D G. who avoid answerinf the question and answer in a derogatory insulting manner.

Don H sorry to tell you but being a former Catholic doesn't make you an expert Catholic nore does God ultimately require us to be for example where would that left the mentally challenged and small children? Unlike you Don I trust in God's promise of never leaving his Church and therefore I never leave it. Tell me Don which non-Catholic entity can clearly demonstrate a historical lineage back to Christ and apostles?

I'm not Catholic, but it's good to see, if that's the case. As a non-denominational Christian I feel there is a lot to learn from the Catholic Church's rich spiritual tradition. I think a lot of questions and answers are posted in ignorance, and yes, Catholics have often been on the receiving end.

If I knew this site was here a year ago I would have been here sooner. I didn't find out until July of this year. I'm more than happy to stand up for what I believe in.

I know God doesn't need me to defend his honor, but It really get's under my skin when people get disrespectful about our beliefs, since it's those that I hold most valuable.

I'll defend what I love and I love God and the foundations of our church. I can't be here every day, but I'm glad that there's all of you who keep the light burning bright.

God, love you all

I was christened and brought up a Catholic and am happy to defend the Catholic church against ignorance and misinformation. About a year ago I was not a regular vistitor to Yahoo Answers.
However Just as I am able to defend Catholisism against some criticisms, I am not a practising catholic and have My own views as to what is wrong with it.
However I do believe everyone should be free to believe what they like without censure from others.
Too much blood has been spilled and too many wars started in the name of religion.

if thats the case pastor billy that sure is good news

ive only been here a little while and thats exactly the reason i keep coming back...the misinformation given out on R&S as fact by non-catholics and former catholics is horrendous and very insulting.

it is wonderful to see genuine catholics stand up and share. thank you for your contributions. and thanx also to the many nameless others who contribute here on R&S for the glory of God rather than for their own personal agenda.

you guys/gals rock! God bless

I think you are correct there. It is like out in the world. As Protestant ministers study, the more they see the continuity of the Apostolic Church that Christ founded. Many have Come Home to Rome. There is little evidence to support that people who knew and studied the Catholic faith, studied theirself out of it.

It wasn't "some bishop" notwithstanding the Cardinal Archbishop - the utmost score Prince of the Church of Rome in Scotland who spoke about Catholic discrimination. that is after all a free u . s . and folk from the proper downwards may have their say. living in Scotland, i can see what he changed into touching on. there's a deep institutionalised hatred of Catholics in Scotland that has no longer been considered in England considering Victorian cases. i imagine really that the Cardinal changed into pleading for individuals to flow on. one way or the different i imagine his comments were blown away contained in the wind of hatred that exists up right here.

Pastor Billy,

I think you are on to something here. The network seems to be growing and that's good for the faith and good for truth and accuracy.

To Don, the Church has never left you and is waiting for you to come back home. Whatever it was that was hard for you to believe still stands, and if you humbly ask God for faith and understanding, He will give it to you!

Pastor Billy.....when will you be getting an Avatar? :-)

It makes me want to sing "foggy day in london town" for some odd reason.
As a returning catholic it's good to be home and now my second step is to release some equity in terms of knowledge for God's glory.

it's truly wonderful. for years Catholics were said to be the silent ones - not standing up for themselves (not just here either). I'm so thankful this is no longer the case! so many people speak such vile, ignorant words against the Rcc. I only hope that they are doing it out of ignorance as ignorance can be overcome. those that are just malicious and yet claim to be Christians truly need our prayers.

those that are fallen away Catholics or those that "claim" to be Catholic & yet spout the ignorance scare me to no end. i'm reminded of those scriptures call as "lukewarm". i fear for them the most as they know and yet don't accept and act.

i just can't understand all the people that blatantly lie and call themselves Christians. there are those that sincerely don't know, accept correction and move on - that's reality, that's life, that's wonderful!

thanks for you and all those who help those who truly want to understand the Rcc.

God bless y'all!!

I've only come to this site in the last year and it is nice to see that Catholics do respond to the more outrageous things written about our faith. I've learned things about my own faith that I wasn't aware of, or maybe had forgotten. I enjoy reading most of the questions and answers.
