I am comfortable in believing that the human race evolved over millions of years from bacteria, but of course I cannot know for certain that that was the case. It is possible that at that stage primitive life had an entirely different structure altogether to bacteria.

I'm not comfortable with the idea of a brain-damaged God trying to hammer a circle peg into a triangle slot--are you? Because making man out of silicon, and turning us into a carbon based life-form simply makes no sense. I'm sure many people will say "That's what God's all about. The miracles, doing the impossible" but whether or not turnning silicon into carbon is possible isn't the issue--it's the efficiency. I'd expect a perfect God to be more efficient than that.
So Bacteria for me, thanks.

I am fairly certain that the origins of mankind and the universe at large are not precisely known. Anyone who "believes" in anything without evidence is a fool. That said, evolution is science. Creationism is a fairy tale, completely devoid of merit and unworthy of mention beside legitimate theories.

Evolution is by far more logical. It may not be completely accurate and new things will probably be discovered to explane even better, but whatever will be proven to be correct will definitely be a scientifical explanation
To jlminshew: it has nothing to do, I am not an atheist btw, I am neither too :)
To jlminshew again: atheists are people who do not believe in a higher power, how could they hate a god that doesn't exist to them? They are against fanatic christians that's all, very few of them will label all believers

Well, that's complicated, since the bacteria must have come from somewhere too. But since my body contains 10-100x more bacteria than my own cells, and since my own cells contain mitochondria which are clearly derived from symbiontic bacteria, I would say bacteria.

I'm much more comfortable with the idea that man was created from dust (Creation).
By the way, I love your sunset picture, or maybe it's a sunrise picture.

Creation. I did not come from Goo! I had a creator and I was created in His image. Although I can see how some of these people think that they come from Goo, it is something that they believe because their brains are still Goo! LMAO Anything other than Creation is nothing more than Science fiction.
