The OPERATIVE WORDS "MY Govt".. The PM HAS TO ASK the Queen for PERMISSION TO FORM A Govt...I KNOW her role has diminished to that of a ceremonial one, but, her words are "MY Government." Her Majesty CAN ADVISE HER Govt.
Why doesn't Her Majesty LISTEN to Her people, guage the mood of HER ppl and ADVISE HER Govt to do the same?

I DID SAY in my question that Her Majesty's role has diminished to that of a CEREMONIAL ONE.. (diminished means reduced..lessened.. for clarification here !).. NEVERTHELESS, Her Majesty STILL HAS A WEEKLY MEETING.. (EVERY Tuesday for your further clarification) with the Prime Minister of the Day.
I KNOW this.
I ALSO KNOW she CAN ADVISE HER Government.. as my question specificaly said - HAD YOU read itproperly.. you're not very good at doing that are you Sir?

Re Paddy Ranger
Like I told conranger,
The Queen DOES hold regular WEEKLY meetings with HER Prime Minister of the day - every Tuesday...
So, if his FACTS are incorrect, more shame on YOU for not READING my response to his reply CORRECTING him !!

Unfortunately Old Liz is subject to the whims of government just the same as the rest of us.
She'll spin the porkies the government tells her to.
Her own views on what she has to say have, as yet, remained completely her own.
Bet she's as hacked off as the rest of us, though.
Sadly, I don't think the Queen saying 'her government' means she can advise them any more than everyone else in the country. By which I mean everyone in this country can tell the government what they think, but they're unlikely to ever listen.

The Queen is a figure-head, with no powers, to advise anybody, about anything, the real power in the U.K. is the British Government.
The words are traditional and bear no relevance to the Queens position as a figure-head.
The Queen does not hold regular meetings with her Government or elected Prime Minister because she has no power to influence the Government.
So your little RANT is meaningless.

It is the govt that dictates to the queen, the queen is just a figure head. The govt only listens to the people at election time where they judge the public's mood.

The Monarchy is a purely ceremonial system that affords privileged lives for those lucky enough to be born into it.
These days, members of the royal family usually try to keep out of politics and remain neutral. It suits them best - their supposed role as a neutral, justified figurehead is what keeps them from being cast out like the rest of the ancient world.

Because as revered as she should be, her advice doesn't really mean much anymore as her position is almost entirely ceremonial now.
You know.. your rather long-winded rant of a question would flow much better if you took out the long-windness and the rant out of it... food for thought.

She probably listens, the government has other motivations that really only they understand. The world keeps turning, history repeats itself. People never learn!
