According to whose particular belief?
there is a whole other history throughout India, Europe and the British Isles that states that Jesus survived the cross, traveled extensively throughout India, Europe and traveled to the British Isles with his wife Mary Magdalena, where Joseph of Arimethea founded a church.
According to that history there is a large number of Jesus' direct descendants alive today.

God is love and one can conclude that He has created man as to have in His presence those whom he can love.
Jesus Christ is the heavenly Bridegroom.
All the divine attributes are brought together in the Person of Jesus. He is the Creator, the Lord and Master, the Lamb slain, the Judge. But how blessed is it for the church (US ) to think of Him as the divine Bridgegroom. His Bride, of whom John the Baptist spoke about is obviously the Church, the body of all the redeemed of Jesus Christ. He loves us unto death.
A true marriage is a union for life - that of which we are speaking is a union for eternity (1 Thess 4:17)
The mystery is great, but I speak in regard of Christ and the church. Eph 5:31, 32) Then shall this wold truly be fulfilled.
Grace be upon you.

Maybe because he never existed.
============
My religion, the Golden Rule
I look at several things, then put that together with common sense.
Example:
The bible was not written down for generations. Then factor in translations, versions (King James Version, etc) and the game of telephone, the only logical conclusion, its folklore and smoke and mirrors.
That is why I have one religion, the Golden Rule.
That’s the one rule that is universal throughout all religions.
If that rule was adhered too, war would be rare, human suffering even rarer and mankind would be doing one hell of a lot better.
Instead, we make excuses not to follow the Golden Rule.
Example:
It is said; George Bush claimed that God told him to invade Iraq. Bin Laden claims God has instructed him to use terror. The contradictions, in both instances, makes both of them guilty of excusing their behavior that has resulted in thousands dead.
Here’s the kicker; for those believers and non believers, God and humanities basic tenet is the Golden Rule, all the rest of the rules follow that.
I wish people would understand the above. Life would be so much easier if we did. Instead, as Confucius said, “Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”
Peace
Jim

His ministry and his life was short. Maybe he lived 34 years at the most. When you are the Son of God you have got a higher calling than things of this world. The Bible clearly teaches that if you are not married seek not a wife, Jesus was only going to do what his Father wanted him to do. And that was be the Saviour of the world. Jesus died on a Cross at Calvery for us. To take away our sins. He was Perfect in every way, had to be to be a perfect Sacrifice, thats part of the reason there would be no marriage, Jesus came that he might atone for our sins and provide away for us to go to Heaven, When he arose from the grave the third day he for ever opened the door to salvation to all who will believe upon his name. It is a free gift, thru faith, To get to heaven now we must confess our sins and ask him to save us, if you would like to become a Born Again Christian you can right now, just pray this sinners prayer of faith and Jesus will come into your heart and save you, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

He had a mission to accomplish, that is to teach people about God's Kingdom, leave an example for us to follow, and to die for our sins.
Marriage would have taken a lot of time out of that, and he'd be leaving a widow and orphans.
