"There is none so blind as those who will not see."

They love to boast on their intellect, logic and reason; while in truth, atheism is intellectually very lazy. Anyone can say - I can't see it therefore it must not exist.

Joke: I have perfect eyes.

Serious: I am an atheist. Why are you so blind? Have you ever seen God with your own eyes? No I didn't think so. Why do religious people believe, against all reason, that Jesus walked on water, when science has proven pretty conlusively that liquid water cannot support the mass of a person.

Think about it: there are no photographs of God, no evidence he exists, save that people claim he exists. I can claim whatever I want. But that doesn't make it true. No scientific observations have detected God, nothing has been seen to have the properties he has (for example, you cannot move stuff aornd at a distance with your mind).

Suppose, say, I made a religion of my own. If I got some followers, they would wonder why you didn't believe the "truth". You would say, "because it isn't true". Atheists aren't "blind", they can see: they see that there is no evidence for God, and he appears to violate every known physical law in existence, so they do not believe he exists.

Making a conscious , informed choice is not blind.

Following a belief -for or against something- just to be in with the safest or, most popular crowd is blind.

There is 'blindness' on all sides of every issue.

I don't think it is fair to categorize all Atheists as blind. That is similar to asking "Why are fundamentalists so stupid?' Most atheists that I know/have met are actually extremely intelligent people. They simply don't believe that any sort of God exists and that is their right. I choose to believe that God exists - that is what works for me. I choose to have faith in a power greater than myself, and I have that right. However, I am simply going on FAITH (belief in something without proof of its' existence) so I guess that I am "blind" also.

Does this make sense to you, I wonder? We are all free to believe what we will and I don't really think it is my business or my place to tell another person what their belief system should be - there are enough people in this world doing that already and that is part of the problem (patience and tolerance of others' beliefs and values would have avoided alot of bloodshed and tyrannical rule throughout the ages.)

The Blindness is relating the place it says in scripture some would be blinded, they're blinded by ability of the hardness of there Hearts, spiritually no longer lots with eyeballs!!, infact God intensifies some peoples blindness by way of fact of ways they despise the assumption of what God stands for. And the great factor of our being examined without seen evidence of god is to work out who might have self assurance and understand certainty for what that's and Satans Lies for what they're, in direction of the tip all shall see yet be confident to work out till now then or be blind !!!

This is a very broad generalization in the first place...
anyway a few people have said things along the line of "show me God, THEN I'll believe...
If you have a toothache then can i see your toothache? can i touch it, smell it, taste it or see it? no.... then how do i know you have a toothache at all, you could be lying to me...
However if i was a dentist and took an x-ray etc. i might find what is wrong...
So maybe just because you haven't been able to find God yet doesn't mean he doesn't exist, you just need the right way to find him...
Hope that helps...

P.S would you know God if he stared you in the face? isn't life itself something so amazing it could only be created.

My vision is fine thank you. Why would you think atheists are blind? Because they don't accept your rather insufficient evidence for pet beliefs? Isin't that just a way to attack someone for not sharing your beliefs rather than addressing any substantial argument for why you are correct?

I once saw the light and it blinded me. I turned away from the light and see much clearer now. Just like I see at least three stylistic and/or grammatical errors in the question you asked.

Atheists? Christians are more blind in my opinion.

They're not blind. In fact, it's quite the opposite. It's the believers who are blind, deaf and dumb, and the Atheists who lack a sense of feeling.

We can at least pluralize and spell. It's a 5 word sentence and you still make two language errors! Not only that, but you make a sweeping generalization about atheists!

You're a living testament to Christian ignorance. Congrats.
