does anybody know which company does a sports type bra i.e. with racer back in big girl sizes mine are 34 H. Reason I ask is that ordinary over shoulder straps are cutting into my skeleton, I kid you not!!! I have 2 deep grooves going into my bone. It really hurts to wear a normal bra. Can you help?

I feel your pain, I'm a 36 GG!

I get all my bras online at bravissimo.co.uk, they are brilliant and I don't know what I would do without them....well...yes I do, I'd be wearing pig ugly gran bras!

Seriously, visit them, they can help get you a pretty bra that won't dig into your shoulders so you don't have to go through the sports bra route.

Hope this helps good luck x

you have my sympathy. I'm a 34f and suffer from the same problem. At the moment I am still able to get bioform bras from ebay. These bras have a plastic support that takes a lot of the stress from the shoulders. Unfortunately the makers, charnos, have stopped producing these bras and they are only available from the secondary market. Racer type bras aren't the answer they just move the stress point from your shoulders to your back or neck.

I don't agree with Zinia as you are a 34 inch, you're not exactly overweight.

Being a big girl myself, I'm a bit concerned that you're even getting these shoulder grooves. Most of the support should be coming from the underband of the bra, not the straps.

Can you get yourself to somewhere like La Senza/ M&S / Debenhams for another opinion on your bra sizing?

I m also suffering with the same problems like u. But I m working out hard now to reduce my weight, and I m feeling lighter.Do lots of cardio excercises & soem spot reduction too. And for sports Bra concern u can try brands like:Lovable, CK, Marks & Spencer (which is very recomended for heavy bust lined women), Enell enell (they have very good sports bra range) etc. for better selection u can see the site:

But u must reduce ur weight first.

I can understand your problem ,I have not found a decent make or comfortable bra my self.I would love to be financial enough to open a store up that caters for women with this problem.

Sports bras dont give alot of support for bigger chests so thats maybe why you cant find any, low demand. try wearing a bra with padded straps, playtex makes one...

Try Bravissimo or Debenhams for bigger sizes, with thicker shoulder straps. I'm a 36FF so I know how you feel!!
