#1 its your hair........your the one whose going around with it on your head
# 2 no one can make you cut your hair.........especially not a teacher (now if your underage your parents can suggest you cut it........thats a diff. story)
Your hair is apart of who you are and the way you wear your hair is an expression of who you are and part of your personality everyone is diff. If its long and you keep it neat and tidy then what really is the reason? It really shouldnt matter what others think about it...........its on your head not theirs...........I've seen some really off the wall hairstyles..........cuts, colors, etc. on people and tho thats what they want its not something I would have done to mine......but hey to each thier own........we are all individuals so go ahead and step out of the box.........you are who you are.

If you're a guy, I know alot of schools have rules on how long guys hair can be, so you might need to get a haircut. But if you're a girl, just ignore her.

It's part of life. People will tell you what to do to fit their beliefs/values/etc. Learn to deal with it. Someone will criticize your life style choices no matter what...you have the choice of fighting it or making the best of it.

TELL THE TEACHER THAT YOU LIKE YOURSELF THE WAY YOU ARE AND NOT TO BE HARASSING YOU ABOUT GETTING A HAIRCUT.
IT IS YOUR DECISION TO CUT IT OR GROW IT OUT TO THE FLOOR.
IF YOUR TEACHER PERSISTS TELL THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR OR PRINCIPAL ABOUT IT THIS IS HARASSMENT AND CAN BE DE LT WITH AS A HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT.
