If someone has a TS/SCI Security Clearance and has had it for apx.19-20 yes, is planning to get married, and the person whom they are getting married to had gotten in some trouble in the past, it had been a few years, but it was legal. Not like felonies, but worse than speeding, would the person with that clearance lose it? If more details are needed, I can give them, to an extent.

The investigation of behavior goes back ten years for living partners, and lifetime for you. Even so, it would only be a mitigating circumstance at worst.

yes they do look into a spouses background to some extent, but legal issues on their behalf do not necessarily immediately translate into losing a Clearance/SCI. If the fiancee brings a LOT of debt into the marriage, that could be a major red flag, as would having a relative in any position in foreign government. now depending on what the issues are, however, the fiancee/ new spouse can be barred from the base and living in base housing.
