I've gotten my ears pierced at kiosk before and it was perfectly fine. Just make sure you see them use a new sterile needle and when she uses a pen to mark where she/he is going to pierce just make sure they are even.

It depends on the experience the people have, not so much how much it costs. I got my first holes done at Claire's and they were crooked (not enough that it was noticed until I went to my second holes) but they didn't get infected. My second holes were done at a Piercing Pagoda kiosk in the mall (if you have them wherever you live) but the one ear kept getting infected so I had to let it close. Just make sure they know what they're doing wherever you go and you'll be fine.

Well, they say it's free, but of course you have to buy the starter kit. I'm about 95% sure it's around $30 for the regular earrings, but if you want real gold or whatever, I'm sure it's a little more. And, well, when I was in second grade, I got mine done (now I'm a freshman in high school) and they completely messed it up. One of my piercings is clearly lower than the other, and it's pretty annoying. But I wouldn't say it's bad, just make sure you get a piercer that knows what they're doing. (:

wow $70 dollars for a peircing! that's ridiculous, don' pay that much. Believe it or not kiosks in the mall are usually very hygeinic and do tons of peircings, just check it out to make sure their needles and guns are sterilized and get it done there. if not, there are plenty of other places that are hygenic and cheap, like some hair salons. Claire's store in the mall does it for free, ive gotten 2 peircings there and they were never infected.

I've had all 3 of my ear piercings done at the mall....never had a problem with any of them. Think about it....they unwrap your piercing studs from the wrapper they came in from the manufacturer with gloved hands, put them in the piercing gun and shoot. The only part that goes inside your ear is the earring, which remained in its original package until you bought it. They also wipe your ears with an alcohol wipe and wipe the part of the gun that touches your ear with alcohol. Infections usually happen when something gets into the newly pierced skin, not from the actual procedure of piercing.

With an expensive place, you're paying extra money for their rent.
As long as you can trust that they won't give you AIDS it doesn't really matter. I don't see how an expensive place would be any better in this regard. I can't understand how it can possibly cost $70. It's 3 minutes worth of work. So that means they charge $1400 per hour?

Get them done at a reputable place. Piercings are permanent and it is worth the extra money to ensure they do a good job. You dont want any infections.
Save up the extra money. Some chemists do piercings and it is not very expensive and they do it hygeinically.

well,i guess the reputable place which costs more is better because i think it's more reliable and you're less likely to get infections.
just remember this, make sure that they use new and totally clean needles which are infection-free..
