I have lived in Dallas, El Paso, Midland and Brownsville.

Dallas - nothing but out of state immigrants, poofy, dyed blond hair and yuppies.

El Paso - did my 4th - 12th grades there. Got out as soon as possible and am reminded of how glad I am I did every time I go back.

Midland - conservative and red neck. Football and Saturday night brawls. Have they ever filled all those apartments they built back in the eighties? I lived in a brand new complex in a building of 8 units and had the whole building to myself. Those mansions ever get unboarded?

Brownsville - enrolled at UTB, I had to leave because my professors refused to speak English most the time and mentally marked down my grade any time I asked them not to.

Oh, but Texas has a lot of good about it, too. Some of the most beautiful typography I've ever seen, Big Bend Nat'l Park, Ft. Davis, the hill country, Lake Amistad, the ability to 'see', San Antonio, Padre Island, hayrides after dark, arrowheads and cowboy boots, Towncars and duellies, bonfires and moonlight. The Texas two-step - yeeehaw! Running all out horseback through the desert dunes - what fun!

And of course, that famous Texan get all dinner - salad, soup, steak, baked potato, mushrooms, artichoke, Texas toast, followed by flan, and cognac on the terrace.

Or, BBQ - gabrito, ribs, tri-tip, grilled shrimp and veggies, salad, potato salad, coleslaw, Texas style beans, tortillas, cobbler, ice cold beer, yummmmmmeeeee!

- no wonder Bush can't wait to get home to Crawford.

Texas is just big enough there cowboy. Having lived and worked in Houston with Continental (trained as a Flight Attendant there) It's big alright. SO's the ego :) Best Tex Mex food, BBQ... very water logged state as of late. Galveston? hmmm give me Waikiki or actually Sandy Beach any day over Gulf waters. But just keep on dreamin. Add... best looking cowboys do manage to wrangle themselves out of Texas some how? Go figure !

I've been to Texas, and it sucks. I don't understand why Texans describe it as if you cross the Oklahoma- Texas border into Texas that you are just consumed by this giant opium cloud or something. It smells, there's garbage everywhere, and people are half retarded.

I LOVE TEXAS...it's my home state, but I'm not sure I'd want the whole world to be Texas. Who would I call Yankees when someone does something so Yankee-like? :-D

To all the future readers of my post: That was meant to be a joke...so try to laugh or your face will break.

:-D Hee Hee
