No it's got nothing to do with how many jobs you're working, it's to do with the total amount you earn over the year. If this is under a certain amount you dont have to pay tax, and you are just under the limit, which for this tax year is £5225.

Make sure you're fitting in all your school work round your jobs!

edit - it's not correct that your basic allowance only counts for one of your jobs and the others still get taxed. Your basic allowance covers ANY number of jobs, plus any income gained from other sources like interest on bank accounts, rental income etc. You may get emergency taxed on one of your jobs until the Inland revenue sorts out your tax situation but you should get it back at the end of the tax year (April). I work as a payroll manager paying around 12,000 people per annum and this is question is asked at least once a week. The previous answers concerning all earning below £5225 being non-taxable are spot on but the IR can make things quite fiddly if you're a student. There is a form which you can submit to an employer which may be of benefit to you: It's called a P38(s). Here's the Inland Revenue link: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/p38s.pdf Here's another handy link: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/students/work_in_term_and_hols_9_1.htm Have a read and good luck!

Lauren is spot on and the answerer who suggest you sign a P38(s) is totally incorrect - you can only sign this if you are only working in the holidays.
You will need to contact HMRC and ask them to allocate your tax free allowance (5225) between the two jobs so you pay tax at neither. Your 2nd employer can't do this without HMRC's say-so, so you need to take charge of your affairs and sort it out. Dont wait until the end of the year - never have the tax man owe you money, better the otehr way roound!

You might find that when the tax office finds out you are working in more than one job, one will be designated your primary job and all your tax allowances will be set against that job. You will then be given a basic rate code for the others and will pay 20% tax on all your earnings at these jobs. You will then have to claim this back at the end of the tax year.
It is possible to have your tax code split between all your jobs. You will need to write to the tax office to get this done.

If you earn under 5521 a year you'll be taxed-but you get it back after April.
