Not a chance.

Definitely. Its without a doubt. Since he starts 3rd on Sunday, and each position is worth anywhere from 3 to 5 points, Jeff Gordon will have already closed the gap between first and second in the points by around 15 points. That doesnt mention the fact that Gordon will probably will lead a lap before Jimmie Johnson does so that narrows the point gap down to 10, and if he leads the most laps thats 5, behind Johnson towards, the end of the race, and if he wins he'll be ahead, and maybe some mishap will happen to Johnson..

What do you mean by that? Down by a mere 30 points, of course he CAN win the cup. Will he? The book makers in Vegas have the odds of Jimmie winning at over 65% but Jeff could easily win if the 48 team has some problems. I don't think he will outdrive Jimmie, he's too solid and has all the momentum going right now.

he's still got a shot at it but with johnson being on a role like he has been the last 3 races it's going to be tough but he can for sure still do it because it doesn't take but one bad race for johnson, and gordon will be leading again.

It doesn't matter to me which one wins, but if Gordon finishes far enough ahead of Johnson to cut Johnson's lead in half, Gordon will beat Johnson at Homestead and take the Cup.

I'd rather see Jimmie win it than Jeff, but I'm pulling for the JD #07 Clint to pull a major miracle off..

Go Dale Jr win at Phoenix

I think Jeff can win it if he has no problems...although Jimmy is his team mate I really am getting tired of him...I can't believe he is actually outshining Jeff. I believe Jeff really wants to win the 5th this would make his year absolutley complete.

Jeff Gordon can and will win the championship, and you better be nice about it, dalejr4ever, I don't want to see you tossing Budweiser cans on the track when he wins tomorrow!

I think he can, but i don't want him to. I dont like Gordon or Johnson, but i guess I would rather see Johnson win. The one thing that would be amazing is if Bowyer could pull off a miracle and win this. He deserves it! Anything can happen.

I think he can and should. He was cheated out of a championship in '04 and may be cheated again this year. If not for the chase, he would be ahead over 400 points. If he doesn't win this year, I will never watch NASCAR again.
