Do you people of religion really think...?

Question

that we atheists come to R&S because we're looking for God, or that we're lost and want to get on the path?

I mean, I know that is said jokingly here and there, but does anyone actually think this? I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Do Atheists really come here just to laugh at the absurdity of what people of faith say? That was one answer to the question of "Why do Atheists come to R&S?" and the question was given few REAL answers. I was disappointed.

I don't believe You come here looking for God. That thought has never crossed my mind. I HOPE none of You comes here looking for stupid questions and answers by non-atheists in order to shore up a shakey non-belief.

But i wouldn't be surprised if some Christians believe it. I understand that it's difficult-to-impossible for You to understand us. Do You understand that it is just as hard for us to understand You? We need to keep the dialog going, though. Atheists' Qs and As have pushed me into a lot of self-defining decisions, and that is worth more than gold.

I think the Atheists here are looking for God, any god, or at least trying to understand God. Why would someone spend hours and hours in the Yahoo Answers Religion section instead of hanging out in Polls and Surverys or going outside if they weren't searching for some answer about God?

i dont think that your 100% that there is no God because if you were then you wouldnt bother with all of this crap.what i do know is that you need to get your life right with God.what would you do if yo were in a car reck today and died?Do you know where you would go?HELL it may be just a joke to you but when your burning for eternity there i highly doubt you would be laughing.And to you and every athiest that doesnt believe in God im willing to bet my life that if you were leaving the store and someone came up put a gun to your head the first thing you would do was say God please help me! Anyways im just curious so write me back and tell me why you dont believe:)

I think that everyone who comes here is trying to share something, but not very many people come to learn anything. If you folks really knew you were lost and trying to find a path, you'd already be on your way there. You wouldn't stop to answer questions in a smart-alecky way on the way. I don't know about you, but I'm trying to understand what people think about me, and trying to clear up some confusion.

In short, I think that only the really self-assured and kind of stuck-up folks honestly think that you're here looking for something. Maybe you are, but until you realize it, you won't find what you're looking for anyway.

This is a platform where we all express our views and beliefs, Where there is an interaction of thoughts. Some people may change their views after the interaction. It depends on the individual , If he gets a satisfactory reply or a thought that clicks with him ..
That is the reason why we are here and you are here --- TO INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER.

I believe the atheists who come here are insecure and bash Christians as justification for their own lack of belief. Ever notice how many are positive, encouraging, uplifting, tolerant and accepting of others(for those of you who are those things my apologies you appear to be a minority here and I sometimes generalize(Am I bad??))?? Pity them, 'cause quite frankly its going to really suck when they are denied entry to heaven and eternal life with our creator. Call me a Christian but I'm going to hedge my bet that there is a God and heaven. What have I got to lose??

I'm a spiritualist R&S is just not an American religious site it is a free net site for all Religions and Spiritual beliefs which is freely used by people from all over the world not just in America and it should be respected in this way. I would never force my beliefs or judge another's beliefs onto or against any other user of this free forum service.

Absolutely you are because if you really didn't believe in God why would you be here, why would you work so hard to disprove something that you say doesn't exist. God does exist and you know it, Hebrews 10:16 says it wrote in our hearts and minds, you can't escape it, its why you are here, Jesus gave his life for you, He was Crucified for you sins and mine on the cross at Calvery, a Roman Crucifixtion was torture, nailed to a Cross, can you imagine our much love it would take to get someone to do that for you today, not many would if any. But when Jesus gave his life like that he opened the door to salvation for us. Now all we have to do is give our lives to him and we can join him in Heaven someday soon. Have you ever considered asking Jesus to save you? Have you ever ask Jesus to come into your heart and cleanse you of all unrighteousness? If you are willing to do that you canbe saved and born again. Jesus's Salvation is free to all who will believe, its that simple, to be different than most people and take this step of faith is hard for most people, we always want to follow the most popular, The Bibles ways maybe not the most popular, but its the right way, just pray this sinners pray and you can become a Christian, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Maybe you are. You may have this subconscious desire to know, to learn or at least to confirm that there is no such thing as religion so that it will suit your particular lifestyles. Or it could be the spirit in you giving you these psychic nudges.
