the motor in the 4th gen is bad and the 3rd gen motor is for sale. thats why im swapping to 160 hp instead of 190.

Reverse engineering you will need a donor car and engine control and engine wiring harness the engine blocks are the same. Those VQ-30DE motors are a pain and costly to work on. The old VG-30E timing belt motor as long as the timing belt keeps turning. So put on a new belt front and rear engine seals.. The ECM is behind the radio on the floor and the A/C box has to come out to snake in the engine harness. It cam be done as long as you have enough time patience and mechanical ability. Good Luck
