Does it say anything about organic foods being any healthier (or not) than "regular" foods?

Read the question, people! Only one answer so far pertains to the actual question I posted. I'm not talking about what the FDA says about other foods. I know perfectly well that half of the foods and additives and whatnot they say are okay really aren't that good for you. I wouldn't go near margarine either, and I like to stay away from MSGs. And I myself wouldn't buy organic foods (too expensive and overrated). I've done enough research to know that they're not all they're cracked up to be and that they're really not as healthy as some people think they are. I needed the FDA/organic foods connection (if there is one) for a speech I'm writing. Personally, I couldn't care less what the FDA says (or doesn't say) about organic foods.

The FDA says nothing about the health of organic or any other food. That is the USDA jurisdiction and they stopped keeping records as to the nutrition density of all produce back in the late 1960's.

There are several studies that have been published suggesting organic food is far more nutritious than conventional and in the next several years we will see several peer reviewed papers huge soil association study that is almost completed. The abstracts that have been released about this study indicate that organic food is much more nutritious than conventional.

So until a lot more peer reviewed research comes out about organic foods the FDA will likely not issue a statement one way or the other.

I don't know but I really don't pay attention to the FDA. They allow things like MSG and Aspartame or NutraSweet to be put in our foods and they are next to poison. It's so hard to tell what is in your food because so many substances go by multiple names and can be in your food without you even knowing it.The FDA was telling us, for most of my life to eat margarine. That it was healthier than butter and now turns out it's about one of the worse things you can eat. I don't buy organic foods simply because they are so danged expensive but it would seem that if they truly are organic that they would be healthier. Some people I think take it too far. Like the people who drink unpasteurized milk. I don't think that's safe at all. God bless!!

The FDA believes the world is over populated so they are trying to kill us off, by giving us food that will cause us problems. So no they defiantly will not tell you to eat organic foods, because organic foods are good for you, but they don’t want you to know, and that is why organic foods are so expensive. They are trying to kill off the poor and save the rich. You know how this world thinks, they believe in evolution, survival of the fittest.

I wonder what all the fuss is about organics. At the beginning of the 20th century, every thing was organic, and the life expectancy was 50 years. Now the life expectancy is over 80 years. How bad can the regular food be?
