Most people who equate the two don't understand the FACTS - that Roe v. Wade gives women the right to choose to give birth, as well. In other words, it prevents the woman's parents or sperm donor from FORCING her to get an abortion against her will.

Women in China DON'T have the right to choose, which is how they can be FORCED to have abortions by the government. The U.S. Supreme Court, in PP v. Casey, ACKNOWLEDGED that without Roe, American women could be forced into abortions by the government, in the interest of population control, etc.

Abortion has been legal and performed for centuries. Contrary to popular belief, it was NOT illegal before Roe - it was simply not legal for anyone but the government to approve or demand one. Most so-called 'pro-life' people base their views on hysteria and propaganda, have never actually READ Roe OR Casey, and are therefore clueless about the facts.

Cathy, your statement, "neither religion or the law has ever had a problem with abortion before the "quickening" until just a little over the last 100 years", is quite shocking. Go tell Pope that you don't agree with him (& Roman Catholic Church).

Your are endorsing the secular humanism's world view that rejects the authority of God and believes that man's problems are the result of environment, lack of education, etc. Thus man can solve those problems through environmental change, greater allocation of monetary funds, education, etc.

Since you don't hold to the Sola Scirputra, you can't be convinced that life begins at point of conception. With many theological differences between Protestant Church and Roman Catholic Church, this is one issue both are in 100% agreement that abortion is a murder.

Most people truly don't understand pro-life and pro-choice are not suppose to be syn. with pro-bith and pro abortion. It is lost on people, One can truly be pro-life and not necessarily for outlawing abortion.but I know what you are saying.

I wish people would realize there is alot more to pro-life then just the abortion debate. They don;t understand if we wish to reduce or eliminate the need for abortion we must work on the underlying causes of abortion: lack of sexual education, poor healthcare, poor educational systems, poverty, war, abuse, sexual assault, and disease. Erradicating these things not erradicating abortion as a procedure are the most pro-life actions we can chose.

I am constantly amazed at people who call themselves "pro-life" and who vote on abortion only while their candidate cuts education funding, nutrition programs, and public health access. Promote the death penalty, war, unfair trade laws which produce modern day slave conditions. It is like saying the right to life begins at conception and ends at birth.

Plus they fail to realize neither religion or the law has ever had a problem with abortion before the "quickening" until just a little over the last 100 years when abortion has been occuring since the beginning of time.

this brings to mind how people can kill each other as adults for a good cause or think Jesus deliberately died for their sins and yet when a mothers life is at stake and the Dr. recommends an abortion so she can continue to raise the children she already has is condemned for it ;where is the sense to that. Forget the over simplified blanket generalities and deal with the specifics of each case . How do Pro choicers justify war for some ideology ? Is the senseless killing of adults okay but it's wrong for the termination of an unwanted or life risking pregnancy? You should consider the priorities of irresponsible conception a little more as well .
there are places where people should start to draw lines but with propriety comes flexibility as well .

Because the majority of people are ... well I won't say stupid but rather uneducated and most are stuck in their ways.
Once someone gets an idea in their head, especially if it was put their by a religious source, it's rather hard for them to think any differently about the situation.

I use to be pro-life and it took a horrible disaster to make me open my eyes and really look at what all the facts and what was going on. Now I'm pro-choice.

(And before anyone jumps to conclusions,no it wasn't about abortion.)

Because being pro-choice means allowing people the option of killing other people who are an inconvenience to them. That is like saying that pro-slavery is not being racist, because you are not advocating that all blacks be enslaved, just ones brought from africa. To say you are in favor of people having the choice means you have to own up to the consequences of that choice. I would have a lot more respect for pro-choicers if they owned up to the fact that they are fine with people killing other human beings out of convenience even if they personally wouldn't do so themselves. At least they would finally be honest with everyone, including themselves.

Pro-Choice = western democracies such as the USA where there is no state religion.

Pro-Death = the twist given by one or more non-profit, faiths based religions which are essentially denying western democracies and setting up theocracies (state religions) aka Pro-Death = unamerica - anti-democracies.

I know who they are. They need to ask THEMSELVES a few questions:

What about the boy or guy who got all hot and bothered and knocked the girl up in the first place? If SHE'S a murderer, then HE is too for getting her pregnant and then abanoning her!

If you're going to damn women who end a pregnancy, are you going to start persecuting every man who ejaculates without a condom on? Do you know how many millions of men that amounts to every day?
.

the undeniable fact which you're feeling the could ask the question skill it incredibly is imprecise. have been I to take it actually, it may advise, "being for figuring out on." of direction, till you're in a vegetative state, you're making options each and every of the time. extra helpful yet, you may even make judgements each and every of the time, "judgements" which skill you quite hung out thinking of options fairly than taking the roulette wheel concepts-set. Likewise, human beings nevertheless decide for to do issues in spite of no remember if some thing is against the regulation. as an occasion, smoking marijuana has no longer been very much decreased as a consequence of being unlawful. eating and driving isn't very much decreased by way of being unlawful. All it incredibly is surely carried out is that all people is punished for the activity, yet they does not pursue the activity if the prospect fee of partaking interior the habit did no longer bring about extra advantageous perceived reward than punishment. The extra precise term for what you have indicated is your which skill is "helping legalized abortion." this does not mean you help human beings getting abortions, yet which you already know that making abortion unlawful interior the previous did no longer surely make adequate difference in lowering the determination of many to seek for abortions. in certainty, there are only 2 situations that surely cut back the in step with capita determination to seek for abortions economically: extreme poverty and wealth significant adequate to have adequate money sufficient beginning administration. Cultural indoctrination helps to a pair quantity, yet on condition that the choice to do issues that would make producing babies a burden for a whilst or having the economic option to incorporate babies in issues like journey holidays. extensive video gaming could additionally cut back the kind of abortions too as human beings exchange into too engrossed and socially inept to get around to the reproductive act. So there are patently many "options" alongside the line to an abortion and, for the main area, human beings around the country make undesirable options - in all probability by way of fact people who are not getting an abortion yet opt to prohibt them did no longer concern to planned or think of heavily approximately what quite works. then returned, in step with probability they do no longer probable care approximately lowering the fee of abortions the two.

Good point. I value my own life or the life of any living person over that of an un-viable collection of cells!
Isn't the life & quality of life of an already existing person a lot more valuable than a "what if..."?
