Yes, it's an excellent Metallica song, but this is actually a question. Throughout my life I've struggled. Struggled to love. I strongly appreciate what my parens and relatives have done for me. Yet, I'm always so bitter. I often find myself forcing love. I have to force myself to love my parents and friends. Not because I feel that love, but because I feel that I'm supposed to love them. It's what everyone else does, so I guess I should do it too. Was I just destined for the dark side or is there something I'm missing?

I loved my ex-gf, atleast I think I did. She eventually left me anyway so it's kinda meaningless.

I respect that answer Craig D, but I can't agree. My immediate family consists of 2 older polish folks. They don't have any schemes or agendas. They just want to see me be happy. Sometimes I wonder how this bad seed came from the 2 of them. They're incredible.

Well, if you think you're worried that you might be evil, then obviously you aren't, because if you were, I would imagine you wouldn't care. I highly doubt what you are experiencing has anything to do with good or evil. There is no way I can say this in text w/out sounding mean, but maybe its something mental that is stopping you from really experiencing love.. Maybe you should seek professional help of some sort, just so you can have help sorting out your problems. I'm not saying that because I think you're crazy, either, but it could help.

No, you're relatively normal. If your "you" barometer is your family, you're doomed.
If you have a problem and you come in a package called a family, you're doomed.
You owe them nothing and you can leave them for dead if that's how you feel.
Don't let them put guilt on you. Cause thats what they're doing.
Families appear nice but they're only together to get more benefits in life.
You don't need that.
And it's all good until something goes wrong ....

No, I don't think you are evil based upon your answer to this question. However, I suspect you must be sad. There are times when I don't feel loving. Usually, this is when I have separated from God. If I humble myself, ask to make amends with anyone I've hurt and asked God for forgiveness, the joy usually returns. A walk with God requires daily turning to Him.

Now God has something more for us, and it is by receiving Gods HOLY SPIRIT, that spirit comes to live in you and that's why you are called the temple of God! I think you are OK, you are just going through what a lot of people do.
I have one of my 3 children that I really struggle to love, I hate to say that to anyone, but she's a monster and makes my heart ache. But I know that if I do what I am supposed to do for her, then someday the feelings will follow.
Love is something you do, not something you feel.

I don't believe too many things can be divided so easily as either good or evil.
If you are that worried, see a therapist. Maybe they can help you get to the source of you emotional numbness.

You are just missing something and its not god or jesus christ.Search for it,I use to be the same but I found the god Enki and the other gods that follow him and there teachings and I feel better now.But thats just me and I have never been like everyone else,alays diffrent.Sometime I wonder how people can believe what they do and not question it.
