Do you work with mean or nice people, and how do they affect your self esteem? Is your family supportive, or bringing you down . Do you feel like there is a pecking order every where you go, and what end do you always seem to wind up on, top middle or bottom?

Well, work is always disappointing if you feel you're underemployed or not given a chance to advance or improve.

I work with nice enough people, but I have little in common with them.

My family tries to be supportive, but is generally misguided due to a lack of knowledge in my area.

Unless you're working for yourself there will be a pecking order. Most of the time you have to start at the bottom and work your way up. Sometimes you get lucky breaks.
In life, at this point, I sometimes feel like I'm wasting time.

In general I feel slightly disappointed, but overall OK with where my life has taken me.

I only surround myself with people and things that are positive to me. I mean maybe they praise me or maybe it is just that I am the one giving the support and positive vibes. Other than that, I just keep moving on... so generally, I am secure and okay. I would not feel as if I were doing anything worth value if I was just in a happy zone all of the time.

I have a job that is a very good one, working for the world's
largest chain of retain stores with thousands of stores worldwide. I like my work as a People Greeter at the door
of our local store, except we are not allowed to have a stool
nor chair to sit to rest our weary hurting feet, legs and back,
even during slack periods. A five minutes of sitting during each hour to releave our feet of the pain could help a lot. My feet are 77 years old
but no one cares.

I work with fairly nice people, but they are lazy. It makes me mad, but it doesn't really effect my self esteem. My family is supportive, but indifferent. I don't really feel like there is a pecking order.

The higher up the monkey climbs the tree the more it shows it's butt. There was a pecking order until my parents died and I always wind up on the top because I respect myself.

i think a similar way. I try countless those different issues and there is often human beings greater acceptable than me. What i've got desperate is it is your unique capacity SET that's efficacious. One guy or woman could can sing greater acceptable than you, yet they could't do all the different issues you're able to do, whether you're able to do them rather nicely.
