It is hardly a lie when they are understood as being actors and are actually making a portrayal. What do want all theather to be banned as well as books that have fictional passages. then who decides the truth doesn't that mean many will want to ban the bible .

What is this "sin"? What you consider sin may not be the same for everyone.

An actor/actress is just that -- if they are not harming anyone, let them go for it.

lying isn't a sin the commandment is lie to the dtramnet of another so if you lie about somone and they end up suffering because of it like going to jail, lose there girfriend or friend, job, kid or anything like that it would be a sin

Of course not. The role they play has nothing to do with the person they are in real life. Role-playing is also used to teach right from wrong to children, in school, church, etc.

The keyword here is ACT. They don't DO something bad. They ACT like they are doing something bad. If they ACT like they are killing someone, the "victim" isn't harmed, so why would that be a sin?

Telling a lie is one of the least thing or sins that an actors act out.

On the other hand, there is no evidence that your particular god or any other god exists, so there is no sin.

There are so many horrible movies we Christians should never watch....The bible says to not make our entertainment things that are done in darkness..meaning evil. I've walked out of many movies that I did not know they were going to be like they were.
I would not want to even act out plays that were evil... God said if we loved the world the love of the Father is not in us. I don't think a true Christian could play an evil part.

Clearly you're coming from a Christian perspective - so based on your beliefs - who doesn't sin? At any time?

Based on your belief - the only actor I know who's clearly sinning to all ends of the earth is GW Bush...but I guess he's just Dick Cheney's boy puppet.

Nope. It's make-pretend world ...

but then again, so is the theory of sin and other spooky tales used to scare you into believing in some supernatural being.
