Probably something like that, anyway.

When people deal in absolutes you cannot expect any logical train of thought to end up explaining their actions. They have no reason when it comes to consideration of evolution. It's the same as trying to explain George Bush to a dyed in the wool Republican; they think he walks on water.
Kenya or Texas, it makes no difference. Fundies will just shut out anything that interferes with their perception just as surely as if they had the hands over their ears and were shouting "la-la-la-la-I can't hear you - la-la-la" (which is pretty dumb to do while reading Internet postings)

Ignorance & fear, its simple.
These are the same sheep who organized the Spanish Inquisition and would still believe the sun rotated around the earth were it not for the science they DO believe and are not protesting (like medicine, nuclear power, automobiles, food preservatives, etc etc.)
Class A hypocrites (but arent' we all? )
I actually agree with them but on different grounds - like Lucy, replicas should be made of them and displayed without anyone knowing. These things are far too precoius to be moving about and risking breakage. I'm a 100% evolutionary biolgist type but I'm happy seeing replicas...I get the point.

Sigh, it's sad, but the evangelization of Africans (much like pushing tobacco products to the Third-World) occurs because converting people to Christian drones is cheap, it just takes a few grubby mimeographed tracts and some ultra-cheaply printed Bibles with volunteer Christian-drone labor. But teaching them science costs millions upon millions of dollars on top of a dependable education infrastructure, in a country where the power goes out several times a week!

Evidence of human evolution goes against the creation myth. If the creation myth - a foundation of biblical teaching - is brought into doubt, the question arises: what else about the bible can be questioned? Fundamental christians will of course campaign against the public display of man's origins.

Every day, Fundy Christians prove their own stupidity. I'm surprised they don't all insist that the Earth is flat with four corners and a solid dome for a sky. I'm just wondering, if God exists, what use does he have for idiots in heaven?

What do the fundies wanna do with the fossil, destroy it? Hard to deny physical evidence but religious delusion does a good job of taking care of that.

Fundies are odd. They way they jump in and try to refute the evidence makes you wonder if they have something to hide.

God and the Christians get the last laugh.....
There is no such thing as evolution.....God said he made every thing AFTER it's own kind....The animals after their own kind...the plants after their own kind, and man after his own kind....Now that settles it....You are not God as much as you wish and even think you are..

Fundie Christians are weird, and it's sad how fast Pentacostalism is spreading through Africa. Causing many conflicts with its "get rich now!" pitch.
I know this from my neighbor, who grew up in Africa in a traditional Christian home.
