Well in accordance with your height your weight seems right but if your stomach hangs outside here's a diet you may follow....

First of all stop eating sweets, even in tea/coffee take less sugar, better sugar free...

Second eat veggies more and no meat... Okay you may eat it but only once a week and that to in lunch, not dinner. Cook in less oil, if possible (which won't be) eat boiled vegetables...

Third eat less more times...! I mean, suppose you eat 1 plate full of rice in one sitting, then you should eat quarter plate in 4 sitting at an interval of 3 - 4 hours... Why? Because our stomach cannot digest starch as fast as it does other things, so you need to give it time...

Don't take too much outside junk food like pizzas or burgers, sure they taste mighty good but the fat and cholesterol level they contain is also mighty high... Eat only once a week, again in lunch not dinner... Why? Because usually after dinner we go to sleep, hence the food we ate is not metabolised properly and it converts into fat! For that matter, start taking dinner earlier, around 8'O clock, and after it go for a walk...

Along with all this do at least 100 sit up's per day... Not at once... Start with 10 in one week, then go to 20 or 30 (as your body allows) the next then keep on increasing the number. It will take a mere 10-20 minutes and is the best way to work out and believe me when I tell you this, no gym in the world can provide you as much amount of work out as this does...

Well that's all... I hope I helped, mail me when you slim down...

PS: I know the temptation to eat all too well, to control that you must think of your significant other, how would she/he feel to be with a "Fat As*"... Worked for me!

Every one can get time for gym and walking, jogging etc. If you build muscles, you can stay healthy and consume more calories at rest (1 kg of muscle burns more calories than 1 kg of fat even while resting).

Eat a high fiber diet and minimise sugar and refined carbohydrates.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

Just a little side note for you [to help you lose weight]
You burn approximately 70 Calories an hour doing nothing [just sitting]
and, burning twice the amount of the calories you consume, you lose a pound. Supposedly.
