Congratulations! You have been offered a great opportunity. If you do not start out wanting and needing and "having to have this now"; if you contribute to a 401K, if you are offered a health insurance plan, you will be in great shape for a very long time. You will receive yearly increases, and who knows where you will go from here. Best of luck in your future. You have a fantastic start!

Like the people before me have said "it all depends on the cost of living of where you live" . Still, 53K is pretty good for a recent grad's starting salary. I'll be graduating in a month, and I'll be lucky if I make 20K a year. Anyways, if I were you I would really take this offer seriously, because there are too many unemployed graduates out there standing at the unemployment line. Good luck and congrats!

It should not be too hard. But, how hard depends on the cost of living where you will be located. It also depends on how much you have in debt payments. If you don't acquire high car loan & other payments or bad financial habits or an expensive place to live, you should be able to live comfortably, make your student loan paymenrts and save money. Get started in a 401 K program if your company has one & max out up to whatever your company matches, then start an IRA.

Depends on where you are talking about living. $53,000 out of college is not a bad salary at all.
You need to look at what the cost of living is like where you will be living/working. Your major expense (if you are not married and have kids) will be housing. See what housing costs.

The only person that should have a problem with this income might be Paris.
I think that you needed to brag a little and I'm happy to say I'm extremely proud that you have worked hard with a goal and a direction.
If you run out of money, don't worry because you will still have some month left. And I always have month left over after my money is gone.

I make about 30k and have a B.A. in English; I live very comfortably, but not luxuriously. Can be done; called living within your means, one of the hardest lessons I ever had to learn.

Absolutely. you are single. the average household income for families may only be 60,000-80,000 yr. you will be living very well in a middle class lifestyle. Buy your stuff at wal-mart and you will even save alot of money.

It depends on where you live, like statewise
but chances are yes, you can live comfortably off that.
