I've had a bad cough for about 2 weeks now...sometimes it gets so bad I turn red and get weak...the doctor prescribed me some medication and said it'll pass soon...I've noticed lately that when I start to get one of my coughing spells my kidney area starts to ache especially when I have to take a deep breath...does this mean anything? Just wondering...

Are you drinking enough water?
Please try drinking more water. It used to be a habit for me to drink soda as a substitute for water and I found out the hard way that you just aren't supposed to do that.

Maybe it's a kidney stone, or just renal colic.
If it's a stone, you can get lithotripsy, which uses shock waves to crush the stone. That way, you can pass sediment instead of an entire calculus or calculi.
Then again, it could be a pulled muscle over the kidney area.
If it persists, see a doctor. It could be more serious than either of us knows.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

You know what I had the same thing happen to me and I ended up having a lung abcess, I thought I had a kidney stone but it was really my lung that was aching. And I had a horrible cough for months. Do you have a fever? chills? aches in your joints? Ask your doc to get a ct of your lungs! asap!
good luck!
