If you are the second owner of the car you get the 2nd owner warranty from hyundai. 60,000 miles 5 years, check the owners manual for the warranty card or call hyundai america. I know for sure because I'm the second owner and picked up the warranty. Great car and don't appreciate by 1/2 as somebody claims.

If you're going to buy a Hyundai, you REALLY need to buy it brand new so you can get the full warranty. They have a really awesome warranty, and if ANYTHING goes wrong they will most likely replace whatever's having problems. Your headlight bulb goes out, they replace the whole headlight. I bought mine used, and I drive mine WAY too hard, but the parts for it are almost impossible to find without going to the dealership where they charge you out the wazzoo because they don't sell you the light bulb, they sell you the whole headlight. Good if you don't have to pay for it, bad without warranty. Plus if you're a student, and not a lot of extra cash, you should get something like maybe a used Honda or Toyota. They seem to hold up a lot longer than other brands, and they're easier to find parts for and work on. If you want cheap parts, buy a Ford or Chevy, but it probably won't last as long as a Honda or Toyota unless cared for properly from the time it's rolled off the lot.

My friend bought a car off of ebay and I've bought motorcycles off of ebay with no problem. Check the sellers feedback, go in person with check/cash to pick up the car, ask if you can take it to a local mechanic for inspection or to have the car inspected. If you are buying a car out of state, even if it has a warranty it will be hard to use. A 2005 Elantra for $6K is an awesome deal, I'm guessing it has no warranty due to salvage title? Any purchase is a risk even from a dealer, so use your judgement and never wire money or have the vehicle shipped without seeing it first, there are alot of scam artists out there who list items with prices to good to be true. Seller should have good feedback and allow you to talk to them on the phone about a major item like a car, if not then they are a scam!

You’re making good choice buying a used Hyundai instead of new IMO. Hyundai’s have poor deprecation once you drive them new off the lot. They lose almost half their value compared to most Japanese cars. If the Hyundai your looking at has low mileage and is well equipped with options $6,000 is a fair price. If not I would look elsewhere. And always run a Carfax history report just to be sure the vehicle was not in a collision… BTW Good luck on finding the right car!

I am familiar with this type of question. I am a female and have owned a used automobile dealership for 10 years. I am a bit confused. Your question is about an 05 or 02? At any rate it is my opionion if you are working and going to school I would like to see you buy something easier to get parts and get worked on. Your dad or friend may find chevy or ford product easier to maintain, if there ever is a problem. Never spend that kind of money without making the time"to shop".Also, for 6000. you should get a warranty on whatever u buy. Take some time now and you will save later. Remember, you are buying used but you can still buy SMART. Good luck.

each and every thing will pass precisely the comparable different than for the powertrain make particular which will drop all the way down to a 5year/60,000 mile guarantee. I basically bought a used Hyundai and it replaced into the wonderful decision I even have made! the guaranty is marvelous, and that i had an basic question approximately it, and the customer provider from Hyundai replaced into spectacular! If the motor vehicle has under 60,000 miles on it (which it is going to for being a 2005), i could purchase it!

It's a nice size, don't you think? It's kind of unique looking, kind of ugly in a good way - lotsa cars are like that. The size and shape though, is about perfect. Don't you like hatchbacks more than sedans?
That car got a "best bet" award from Edmunds 2007 for used vehicles. You'd probably be happy with it.
