what do u think of this rule
student must stay at least 1 foot a way from the opposite gender
But i hug boys all the time
any advise 4 me to stop huggingthem
and 4 them to stop hugging me

Keep hugging. It is some of the best we have. Brake the rule: make a hugging protest rally. Just don`t let them get away with this one.

It is so sad that our world has come to the day that you have to ask this question. Every child needs a hug. And some of them scream,silently for that hug. But you could end up on the end of an investigation if you are seen hugging a child.
I think that depending on the ages that you work with, you and the students can't "go cold turkey" and just stop. First talk with your principal and any counselors that you have available and get their advise But you should start slowing backing off. You don't want to make them think that you no longer want to hug them, and I'm sure they wouldn't understand the legal ramifications, but they need to be put off so that your reputation is safe. You don't want to blow a profession that took years to develop.

I hugged one of my female teachers in high school. I had a crush on her, and I got really nervous when I did it. But I was glad I did it, and I'd do it again.
I wonder what ever happened to her.

that is a really stupid rule. they should be more worried about the students grades and education because there is no harm in hugging

OMG, that is the stupidest rule i have ever heard of. I dont know what grade you are in but that is just crazy.
I'm in high school and if that would happen at me school no one would stand for it

if you are in high school, you are there to learn not to hug, if you need a hug do it off school time!
