I wear my nice automic watch $200USD retail. I wear it while in sheet metal shop. I use a pnematic powered hammar. It vibrates my watch a lot while it's on my wrist. I think this wears out the watch movement faster but I'm not a watch expert. Will my occupation void the warrantee?

Is it OK for me to use the watch in this manner?

Mechanical watch movements are designed to last for decades, possibly even centuries.

Excessive vibration will accelerate this process, but my bet is that you will be long past the warranty period when this happens.

Get a cheap watch for work.

It's not a good idea to wear it when you are working with something that vibrates so much. Your occupation might void the warranty.

Don't you have a cheap watch lying around that you can wear to work? You're asking for trouble by wearing that good one around all that machinery! Buy yourself a $20. Timex- & I bet you'll still have THAT one, LONG after the good One's Time has run out!!! :)

I would keep this watch for occasions other than work and pick up a cheapy at Walmart for work. You can get something for as little as $10.

No. Warranties apply to all occupations unless underwater.
