Yes, it does. A person gets defensive when their wrong about something. If you're right about something you don't go to grave lengths to prove your point all the time. And for those Christians that say you're going to hell that's simply not true. All those that aren't God's children (he'll know who they are not man) will be utterly destroyed. No one will burn forever like some would want you to believe. This is why it's important to read & study the Bible for yourself & not rely on heresay.

Homosexuality, had always existed since I could remember, when I was Six years old. But my Family always made whoever was a Homosexual, be welcomed at our House and shared a meal with the one who was one in our Neighborhood. We had that motto, Live and let Live, so, I have never seen a Homosexual try to defend himself, not in our town. everyone is a sinner, we all make mistakes in our Lives, that we regret, so, if Homosexuals are Sinners so, are the rest of the ones who sin. If anyone is without Sin, cast the First Stone, says the Bible.

People that are homosexual that I've known have been mostly aggressive and seemed like they dared me to disagree with their lifestyle. I have always felt intimidated by their aggressive attitude, because they first announce it loudly from a mountain top, (real minorities especially black people don't have to announce anything because it's obvious), and then I feel I have to do whatever they say or risk being called homophobic.

I don't feel like they should be treated as a minority class, because it's a lifestyle and choice and nothing more. People that are homosexual make more money as a group by far than anyone else...no no...

...I don't think that people who are homosexual have to defend themselves at all today...I feel I need to be defended against them, because their ideas are changing society and not the Bible or religious zealots....

When it comes down to it...people who are homosexual can still walk around anonymously, (if they are choosing not to throw their lifestyle in people's faces), without being accosted, judged, or hated. This is definitely a luxury that people who are homosexual (those who are not of color)should think about before comparing themselves to people who can't blend into society.

They suffer more condemning from people than they do the bible.
People have a larger impact on a person's life than a bible does.
I don't know why the Christians are raving that homosexuality is a sin. There are greater sins than being gay and a good number of Christians, preachers included, that are homosexuals too.
Christians judge for everything from religious beliefs, to no beliefs, to friends, family, social activities, movies, and music.

Salam

The Bible is a holy book and it has words from The Lord in there and from those, there are blessings and reminders.
Heed warning or not, that is a choice they made and before they leave this earth they should consider a course of repentance and usually they do, I have yet to see one of them start a fight so they are good in nature but have found yet not what made the rope a knot. History has made what they want to be called born into it. Al Jinn are 1000 years each in presence around those in transgression beyond measures.

On it's own the Bible has no impact. Those who follow the Bible's teaching are another matter.

Please note the following statements only reflect the beliefs and actions of a small minority and not Christians as a whole. Also the following behaviors aren't limited to only Christians.

When you have people who protest the fact that you haven't been put to death you tend to get a bit defensive. When you have people who will discriminate against you (getting fired, not being able to get a place to live) due to your orientation you tend to get a bit defensive. When people slander you (allegations of pedophilia), harass you, or insult you every chance they get due to your being gay you tend to get defensive.
When kill others for being gay (yes, this does happen) you tend to get defensive.

As I said above, only a small number of people do the above. Given the above can you blame us for being "defensive"?

Go read the book of Leviticus 18:22. I am plagiarizing here so please forgive me. " Do not lie with a man as a man would with a woman, it is an abomination." Leviticus 20:13 states that" If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. So yeah the Holy Bible does have that much impact on people.

Are you serious? Why do homosexuals feel they have to defend themselves? I know if there was an entire group of people that thought it was okay to deprive me of rights or have a mob beat me to a pulp based on a part of my lifestyle I'd be pretty defensive, too. Oh wait, I'm an atheist so there is a group like that for me. Uh oh, better go hide.

It isn't the Bible so much as it is the millions of religious zealots who think the Bible is the word of god.

Isn't it funny how these religious idiots focus on the old testament verses that call homosexuality an abomination, but forget all about the teachings of Christ when he said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

The world would be a much better place if the people who called themselves Christians, actually followed the teachings of Christ, and not the Hebrew old testament.
