When a Christian condemns the behavior of someone, are they implying that they (the Christian) has impunity?
For whatever reason, a Christian might feel like condemning someone and turning people against them to make themselves look better.
When they do this, are the Christians implying that they themselves are somehow immune from this judgment and public condemnation or even innocent of the charges they're accusing someone of just because they are labeled Christian?
Are they not subject to these rules that they impose on everyone else?

Is this guy saying that he and other Christians don't do the things on his sign, or is he speaking for Christianity and saying that he DOES do these things but it's ok since he's Christian?

The list of sins in the first picture is woefully inadequate to cover the breadth of sins that God (and Jesus) made it clear were unacceptable in his home. I would say it is possible that the guy holding this sign doesn't do the things on his sign though some might apply the "general heathen" comment to him based on his appearance (and I don't recall seeing the phrase "general heathen" in the bible). It is also possible (though undetermined because the sign covers too much), that this guy has a problem with gluttony...one of the biblical sins he (conveniently?) left off his list.

As for the second picture, sadly, I'd have to go with the second interpretation. He messed up the "things I don't do" excuse when he included "liars"...and unless he's homosexual (well, perhaps "sodomites" and "girlie men" covers that???) including "fornication" and "adultery" also did him in. There is NO WAY that a man his age has never told a lie and it would be a miracle of epic porportions if he had never committed fornication or adultery...at least in thought if not in deed...and didn't Jesus say that lusting in your heart was the same as adultery (and by implication, fornication if you're unmarried)?

I would argue to my last breath that these guys are NOT "speaking for Christianity"...they are speaking for themselves. Yes, I'll agree that some Christians share their beliefs so maybe they are speaking for some people that call themselves Christian (I would not presume to judge whether either guy...or anyone else...is a "real Christian"). The pictures might suggest that such activities are common...but where are the pictures of the millions of Christians in this country that go through their entire lives without once thinking that wearing or carrying a sign like that is a good idea???

Well you certainly picked a deep issue. Actually, while not claiming they are immune, they make the mistake of judging and preaching morality to make the point for salvation. Christians are not perfect, but subject to the same human errors and flaws as all mankind. It isn't just Christians who judge and act hypocritically, but because they are Christians they are judged more harshly.Fortunately for them they are forgiven because of their faith in Jesus Christ who paid the price for their sins(only those who recognize him as LORD and Savior are forgiven). That does not absolve them from the consequences of their actions, public condemnation or human judgment, only eternal judgment. I prefer to believe that they are miscommunicating through ignorance with the best of intentions.

Christians come from all types of sin. What this gentlemen is saying that if you do not have a covering over your sin, Hell awaits you.
Christians are these things: 1. sinners saved by grace. 2. forgiven of their sin. 3. delivered from sin. 4. given power over sin.
Everyone who doesn't have the Blood of Christ's sacrifice is bound for Hell.
