Jesus was not about salvation from any imaginary place, he spoke about enlightenment.

Talk about enlightenment ~ read the Gospel of St Thomas.
Jesus said: If those who lead you say unto you: Behold, the Kingdom is in heaven, then the birds of the heaven will be before you. If they say unto you: It is in the sea, then the fish will be before you. But the Kingdom is within you, and it is outside of you. When you know yourselves, then shall you be known, and you shall know that you are the sons of the living Father. But if ye do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty, and you are poverty.
Why are all these informative documents suppressed from the Bible, I wonder. It provides a broader view of Jesus the man and message.

There's no such book. Sounds like someone is trying to get to heaven by any means necessary. Enlightenment may get you a fast ticket to destruction when Jesus comes again. Might wanna rethink your position & consider salvation.

Yes I did. It was a gnostic book. Keep that in mind. Gnosticism is about spirit not flesh. It was about the enlightenment of the spirit. It was NOT written by Mary Magdalen.

I've had a great deal of affection for Mary ever since I first heard of her as a child.

Enlightenment is important to all, you don't agree with what Jesus proposed then there are other routes also. All of them lead to same destination, i.e. if you tread carefully and fully.

Depends what you believe enlightenment will do. No signs of god yet? i'd expect a disappointment if i were a christian when i died.
