If the two of you have fun together and have things to talk about, then I don't see a problem with dating. As long is it is JUST dating. 14 is too young to be really physical in a relationship. More than holding hands or a kiss goodnight is too much for 14.

Going out with a male friend you care about is great, just make sure you aren't going to be pressured into things you aren't ready for.

i think 14 is a decent age to start dating but not with a 16 year old. I mean you guys may only be 2 years apart but older guys no matter how far the age distance will always try and presure you into things your not ready for. And even if you think youll say no its not right for someone to presure you.

I think it's fine if it's consistent with your culture and you don't get too carried away. It's young to be falling in love and getting serious. Dating at 14 should be about "romantic friendship," maybe some kissing, going out together, remembering to stay involved in your studies and a sport or artistic pursuit. It's a time to learn and grow, and if dating begins to interfere with developing yourself into a responsible adult, then it would be appropriate to take a step back.

It may involve being quite strong, strong enough to say no and mean it to things that will get you over-involved. Frankly, some kids can't handle it, but some can.

NO. You are way too young. Its a bad idea. What does a 16 year old want with a 14 year old. (I understand you are mature) we all were at 14. :) Not to lecture, but just think about it logically, at 14, would you want to date a 12 year old?

Personally, I feel that 14 is too young to date. I didn't date until I was 17 and it kept me outta trouble. If he really likes you and feels that you are that important- he will be willing to wait for you to get a little older first or he will be willing to "court" you (come over and visit at your house in the parent's presence).

NO, 14 is not the dating age, unless you wish to have no future. The right age to date is...20-25, when you have a job and ready to start a family and etc. Just stay friends.

14 is a good age as long as you know not to tale a relationship to far too fast.
