Nokia Phone Tools includes a free AVI to 3GP converter.

you can look around download.com for a .3gpp converter (.3gp), but when it compresses a big file, it shrinks it to less than a meg, and makes everything look very bad, so if it's for a phone or psp, or ipod, .mp4 works best and that can be gotten @ dvdvideosoft.com and look for the video to ipod converter
