To clarify, I'm not trying to win her back. I do not want to be dramatic. I just want to see her. We have not seen eachother in 2 years and neither of us use aim or myspace. We were in high school but it was still serious for both of us. I just want to show her I've become a better person and close things i guess. She's the only girl I've really cared about (no point in having a relationship during college). Would it be better to call her first? Would it be weird to surprise her with one of her favorite foods?

Definitely call first!! But you have to really be honest with yourself about why you want to contact her. Were you a jerk, or did you do something mean to her? If you did, then you have the perfect reason to call her. But if you are just lonely, let it be. But even the smallest thing you did that would give you a reason to call is good enough. She'll probably no even remember. Or you can just say that you feel like you didn't treat her as well as she deserved and since you are fixing boo boo's in your life you really needed to call and apologize for that.
Just call her, she'll be surprised, but simply tell her that you've done some growing up, and tried fix some of your short comings, and you just wanted to tie up some loose ends that have been bothering you.
Apologize to her for whatever is bugging you and leave it at that. Make sure to ask how she's doing and stuff. If she tells you she's got the most FAB boyfriend say "that's great you deserve only the best, and BTW........." and go into your apology.
If she keeps you on the phone to chat, go with it, but after you apologize and it's that awkward silence just tell her thank you for listening to me and letting me apologize. Wish her well and tell her if she's comfortable with it maybe you two could do lunch some day.
