the asker wanted to know if Christ hadn't died on the stake....would he had lived 900 yrs like Adam?

My answer was " I doubt it" I thought that he was referring to something else, so I'd like to clear up that by saying....Jesus Christ is alive .....he laid his life down for the salvation of obedient, believing mankind....and was resurrected to heaven once again to live with Jehovah God for all eternity.

Jesus' purpose was not to live on the earth forever.......he had an assignment by God which he fulfilled. He resided in the heavens before he came to the earth and he therefore went back to his original abode afterwards.

Sorry if I confused anyone with my first answer, that was not my intention.

Hey Sugarbee,

We all make mistakes. That's what makes us imperfect. I think it was good of you to come back and explain your answer a bit better. It must make you feel a lot better now that you have.

You know, it's my worst fear to answer a question that could be easily mis-interpreted. So, good on you for clarifying yourself.
And of course, I totally agree with your answer!

After his resurrection, Jesus had a very limited time to hang around, as his human body was immortal. That might have been a good thing, he could heal and preach and minister until the entire world knew of him, but unless he was willing to bring every freshly dead person back to life., it would start to get embarrassing. I mean, here's Jesus looking hale and hearty and all his old friends are turning grey and feeble, and eventually dropping to the side. It could inspire a lot of resentment after the first few centuries. (And I don't believe the Lord of the universe would ever get "homesick".)

Jesus actually came for the sinner, to have a way to heaven not the righteous for there was none and no way to receive it until the Grace of our Lord covered the believers.
