Do you think that Johnny Benson should have given up the spot to team mate Mike Skinner so Skinner could have gained 5 points for the Craftsman truck championship?

I don't know where this mentality came from that a driver in championship contention should be given spots - even by team mates. We're seeing at the cup level more and more, we saw Biffel give a spot Carl during the chase, and we saw Casey Mears give a spot to Kyle Busch once. I personally think it's bull, and it's not racing. Johnny did the right thing.

Harvick drove through the pit of skinner and he is Hornaday's team mate, but Harvick is a, well for a lack of a batter term a craft whacker. If skinner looses by four points to hornaday then do not expect to see benson at the skinner christmas party this year. Benson has a bit more of a right to race his team mate as he has a points race and possible cash money to consider

I'm over here in Phnx, man, was Skinner pissed or what...I agree every man for himself, yes you are team mates but..its racing...I'm a Hornaday fan so its okay with me..But was Skinner ever pissed off during a couple of interviews that I was close to...I don;t think he considers Benson a team mate any more..This truck championship is "Intense"..

Benson is second best to no one in that series. Skinner finished right where he should have.
Benson needs another shot at a cup ride only with a good team with a good crew.

The old school mentality of NASCAR is alive and well in the CTS, as evidenced by Skinner, Benson and comments by Hornaday last night.
I'm with Ray on Benson in the Cup.

No Benson is trying to get as many points and positions. So kinner maybe trying to win a championship but Benson wants to finish as high in the standings as possible.

I'm a huge Skinner fan, but I don't think he should've been given the spot. It's racing and Johnny was faster.

Ya, you gotta help the team, but Benson needed those points too and also at the end of races its every man for himself

I love the CTS because it is the closest the big leagues have to the Saturday night circle burners. Great competition and every man for himself. Benson did what he needed to do.

I imagine JB did some thinking, and decided 5th in points was worht more than 4 points for his Teammate, Skinner.
I didn't really care for JB when he was in Cup before, but I really do believe, as Ray Y stated, that JB really deserves another shot, this time with a really good team and crew.
