There are three light switches outside a room. There is one light(bulb) in the room. You have to find out which switch turns on the light. Now, the catch! YOU CANNOT SEE IN THE ROOM IN ANYWAY! You can't see if the light is on by looking under the door, no light seeps through. Also, YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO ENTER THE ROOM ONCE.
So, how do you tell which switch controls the light???

Switch on switch #1 for 5 minutes. Then, switch off switch #1 and switch on switch #2 and enter the room.
If the light bulb is on, switch #2 is the switch that turns on the light. If the light bulb is off, touch the bulb. If the bulb is warm or hot, switch #1 is the switch that turns on the light. If the bulb is at room tempretaure, switch #3 is the switch that turns on the light.

kevin and ironhide got the answer right but the question needs to be reworded from "light bulb" to "lamp" or "desk lamp"as most light bulbs are on the ceiling and therefore out of reach! and obviously to say there is a ladder in the room would give the answer away.

Well since you said you can only enter the room once, but didn't say you couldn't just open the door, I would open the door and try each switch.

Flip switch #1 and leave it on for a few minutes.
Flip off switch #1, Flip on switch #2
If the light bulb is on, it's switch #2
If the light bulb is off and it's cold, then it's switch #3
If the light bulb is off and it's hot, then it's switch #1

2 of the switches will cut on lights that are in diff. rooms so when none of the lights in them cut on the one in room is on.

Each switch would do a different thing,
like one is a light, another is a vent thing, and one would be like a garbage disposal.

idk

"If I have been to ask the type of creature (or regardless of you call an angel/demon) it quite is opposite to you if i grew to become into in heaven, might they say confident?" in the event that they say no, you're in hell. in the event that they say confident, you're in heaven. i'm not stable at those, so it is perchance incorrect. >_<
