Creationists are simply ignorant. They believe that because they have absolutely no credibility in science whatsoever, they must know everything.
Normal people find this way of thinking irrational and downright stupid.

If they are real Christians who have a personal relationship with God, they probably won't consider us as crackpots. A real Christian who knows the Lord is commanded by Jesus to love brothers and sisters in Christ, not to have contempt for them, even though we have differences. Look at all the different Christian religions. I don't care that others disagree with me. I'm just glad they believe in the Lord, whether they are Young Earth Creationists, Old Earth Creationists, Intelligent Design evolutionists or whatever. We all have the same Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

I have heard youndg eath creationist esxplain that we see starts that ae older than 6,000 years say it is becuse God creted the light on its way. The heart of this argument is that God would decive us as to the age of the universe which raises the quetion what else is he going to lie about? Pthers say the spped of light has not been constant...I aks for evidince.
When some one paints themself into a corner like that it is embarassing when some one quotes a figure but dose not know enough to explain why it is correct or provide colaberating evidince on a scintific debate that is embarassing.

The Bible is 6,000 years old. The tools we humans use to estimate the age of the earth are fallible. The Bible even says the earth was just over 6,000 years old. I will debate this will you for 7 days if I have to. Let's respond back and forth.

BTW: Christians that deny the Bible and interpret it the way they want it to is not doing anyone any favors, including Jesus. This is one of the biggest problems non-believers face with Christianity. This question alone just goes to show how many Christians don't put trust in God's Word.

Ex-Creationist - I used to swallow the "belief" hook, line and sinker, now that i have researched the facts, there is no way that I want "young earth" or creationism taught as anything associated with science. I don't care if people believe that some god worked through or inspired evolution, but children need to learn objective facts and cognitive skills rather than just accepting "pseudo science" (a nice word for lies).

I respect evolution, but I'm a young earth believer. It's just a belief, you don't have to feel embarrassed about us. Evolution contradicts the bible. I'm sorry. Also, I'm not a fundamentalist or anything, I don't force my beliefs on others. Trust me, I'm a good person.
I gave you a star :)

Though I was raised a Christian and Creation-believer, I've taken the time to study the Theory of Evolution over the years (I'm over 50, now). Science has shown me that the Theory of Evolution is provably wrong. I do not claim that Creation is provable -- however, the things science has shown me which disprove evolution also suggest provability for Creation. But, again, I don't make that claim. My faith is sufficient for me in that area.

Well, I believe God created Science and Psychics for man to learn of creation. Just man got his pride in the way.
The Bible says God is from everlasting to everlasting.
So, what was God doing before 6,000 years ago? Twiddling His thumbs?
No, God is the Creator and He loves to create. Still doing it too, I believe.

They need to read the bible more, the trees are told to multiply over the earth and then he makes animals but what did the animals eat and how long does it take to grow those trees and multiply them. God can't defy his own laws governing nature because he can't break his laws. Could he speed up the process yes but did he and If so why. God isn't under a deadline to create stuff.

Yes, I also believe that God created the world through the long, long process of evolution. I think people misunderstand the point of the Bible when they use it as a scientific textbook, instead of a book about salvation and spiritual transformation through God's love.
I wonder how many people will agree with us, though!

I'm not Christian, but science only strengthens my belief in a creator God, not diminishes it. The more science I know and read about the more my belief in God becomes more unshakable.
