No.

(2 Kings 6:15-17) When [Elisha's attendant] rose early to get up, and went out, why, there a military force was surrounding the city with horses and war chariots. At once [Elisha's] attendant said to him: “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” But he said: “Do not be afraid, for there are more who are with us than those who are with them.” And Elisha began to pray and say: “O Jehovah, open his eyes, please, that he may see.” Immediately Jehovah opened the attendant’s eyes, so that he saw; and, look! the mountainous region was full of horses and war chariots of fire all around Elisha.

The most popular is seldom the most correct. Why be for or against JW's?

When they come knocking at my door, I get my Torah and ask if we can read a passage together. I read a little and let them explain what it means to them. Then read a little more and let them explain.

All I ask as a Jew is they explain the simple meaning of what is read and relate it only to those things that come before it in the Torah.

I do the same with anyone who comes knocking at my door and we always have a good time.

I don't have anything against JW's personally. My ex in-laws were JW and they were the sweetest people you could ever meet. I do have a problem with the religion itself though.

I have proof that JW literature takes quotes out of context and even outright lies. I have seen studies documenting manipulative tactics within JW kingdom halls. I have nothing against JWs as individual people, but I sure would never trust their organization.

I dont really have a problem with the members, just the religion. I know cause one of my friends is a Jehova's Witness who is actually real cool. Hasnt tried converting me or anything so I dont have anything against them.

Pretty much like what sweetgurl said. The people in it and the religion itself are two different things.

1 John 5:19- We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one

Umm - no - I'm not against them at all. I'm not against any religion. I AM against ANYONE, for ANY reason, who doesn't understand me when I say "not interested" - be it Jw or telephone salesfolk.

Stop acting persecuted - you're not.

My mum is one and they are really good people.
I am not interested but I would put my hand up and say I am for them.
