i got hurt during soccer tryouts and a sports med teacher said that i might have hurt the tendon on my patella. she adviced me to see a doctor. i want to know if i could just go to a chiropractor instead, because it's more convenient for me. so is a chiropractor almost as good as a doctor when it comes to these issues?

Chiropractors are highly trained in dealing with this sort of problem. It is a common misconception that they only deal with the spine, they are also highly trained in dealing with problems in knees etc. I would recommend seeing one instead of a regular doctor, as you probably don't want pain killers, but rather would like a solution to your problem.

As for the websites that are listed above, they are simply opinion websites written by people who were too dumb to actually make a living from the profession.

Go see your chiropractor if its more convenient for you.

Chiropractors are better trained in this area than primary care medical doctors. So, yes, see your family Chiropractor.

Best wishes and good luck.
