Careful, there are people so vain, they might think you are talking about them.....

And I dunno, but it happens often. People have nothing better to do than be mean and hateful; just brush it off. (((((hugs)))))

Funny, I just read your last question and thought to myself, I bet there'll be alot of judgemental and/or rude answers to that one. Sure enough.....

By the way, Polytheistic would work, if you want a label. It simply means that you believe in more than one diety. Hinduism is an example of a polythiestic religion, as is Paganism. I can't give you much more of a 'label' as it gets alot more complex past that, you'd have to read up on your own.

People get very passionate about thier religious beliefs, and unfortunatly, that often leads to hostility. The root of many of our problems is our inability to respect other people's beliefs, even if we don't agree. It's the cause of many wars, crusades and civil unrest.

The most you can do is be strong and don't make the same mistake yourself. Believe in what you believe and respect others who's beliefs are not your own. :)

Peace.

I don't see anything wrong with a god/goddess belief.

Heck, I even got an answer to the most asked question in the Bible, I just didn't understand the answer!

How many people can say that? I got an answer from a man who travels the world, speaks ancient languages and he's a Biblicist. I wish I had more patience!

Why are your Q&A's blocked? Does someone have a few bad answers they'd rather not let others see?

I'm not being hypocritical - I've said (and continue to at times) some really dumb/obnoxious/rude things. But mine are open.

I try to keep an open mind when I am here, and usually do not get fired up or angry at people. You just have to develop a tough skin, that's all. A lot of people here are rude and they aren't going to change, sadly.

They're rude and insecure jerks. I honestly think they are small minded and can't handle anyone believing any differently than they do. I'm an Episcopalian and one of my best friends was a Wiccan (she's since moved). I just have never understood people who couldn't handle anyone who had a different belief from his or hers.

I will personally be offended if you are referring to my answer.
I only mean to make people laugh or smile, and my mantra has always been:
Why can't we all just get along..? : )

I do agree with you that sooo many people on here are incredibly INTOLERANT and so MEAN and it bugs the crap out of me...!
That is usually why I attempt to answer a lot of questions with humor -- I am HOPING that it will DIFFUSE some of the anger these people have... : )
: )
xoxoxo
: )

I think it was more an attempt at humor rather than trying to be rude. Oh, some do get rude sometimes, but you have to remember that it really, truly is nothing personal. If someone gets under your skin, it's really best to not let them know.

I apologize on behalf of those people who answered you in a rude matter, signorina. It's typical of Christians to do that to people who don't believe in their "one true God", C.L. Richardson's holier-than-thou, and frankly ignorant, answer will show you. Christians tend to be less than polite, and far from Christ-like, when dealing with polytheists, more so than they are with atheists. Apparently if you're going to bother to believe in any higher power, you MUST believe in the God of the Christian Right, and if you don't then you're obviously a heathen devil worshiper.

Don't let it discourage you from believing what you believe.
