Call your local vet and get a nursing bottle from him...sometimes they even have puppy formula that you can purchase.

Then you will mix the formula and feed the puppy just as if you are its Mom.

Good luck and understand you are special....many people wouldn't even care.

Go buy some Esbilac. The powder is less expensive but difficult to mix without lumps. I put it in a baby food jar with the correct amount of warm water and shake the jar.
Feed the puppy every 2 hours with a puppy nurser bottle. Also at Petco or Petsmart. Use a cotton ball damped in warm water and gently rub where the pup poops and pees every time before and after you feed him. Keep him warm, like with something that heats. A lizard rock is good for a solo puppy.
Better start tonight because they can die pretty fast. If the pup won't nurse, try a little bit of sugar water first. Use a dropper and give just a few drops. You don't say what kind of puppy? big or little?
Good luck.
Please post to let us know how puppy does.
NO don't use regular milk. It will make pup very sick and probably die.

DO NOT GIVE IT COW MILK !!! If you can get to a pet superstore they should have something.(a formula of some kind) You will need to get a bottle form there to feed the pup. That would be best but if you can't you can get a can of carnation evaporated milk, (little can to start off with) water & some karo syrup. Mix 4 cans (small) of water to one can of milk and a spoonful of the syrup. Feed the puppy every 2 - 3 hours and don't forget to stimulate her so she can go to the bathroom. You MUST keep the puppy warm !!! You can put a heating pad (on low) or maybe a heat lamp if you happen to have one. My lab just had puppies two weeks ago today. I can relate to the worry as we lost the runt. I hope this helps :)

Get a small box and put a heating pad under a folded thick towel. Situate it so the pup can't get under it. Set the heating pad on low, you don't want to fry the pup.
Get some "Esbillac" or "Just Born" dog formula from a pet store or feed store. Check the expiration dates on the product and buy the freshest. (some stores don't check and the product expires). Get some pet nursers and use a safety pin, heating the tip until it is glowing red and quickly put it thru the nipple (for the bottle) so there is enough flow capacity. You may have to do this a few times. Also, you may need an eye-dropper to start if the pup is real weak. Warm up the formula inside the bottle by placing it in a cup with hot water for a few minutes. Test it on your wrist like you would for a baby to make sure it's not too hot. Should just be warm.
Don't put the pup on it's back to feed, but feed by placing the pup in your hand, feet facing down.
After each and every feeding (every 2 hrs when first getting the pup to eat) you will need to stimulate the pup to potty. This is VERY important. You do this by taking a soft warm washcloth (NOT HOT) and gently massage where the pup goes pee. It may only go a few drops at first, but as it eats more it will pee more.
After stimulating the pup to pee, do the same on its butt where it would poop. It won't go every time, but it's very important to do this.
You will have to keep her warm and feed her around the clock. If she won't take the bottle because she is too weak, use the eye dropper but don't squeeze it in her mouth, except very slightly at first so she can taste the milk.
Vets have nursers for weak pups that work real well. Simple plastic small bottles.
If you can't take this pup to a Vet, then do the above.
In the meantime, call some rescues and see if there are any that will take the pup in and bottle feed it.
Check with neighbors and see if anyone has bottle fed a baby animal before and they may be able to help you, too.
If the pup has fleas, you will need to get them off of the pup immediately. You can bathe a tiny pup if they are full of fleas. You have to be very careful and use Johnson's Baby Shampoo. It's not toxic to pups and stuns fleas. Massage it in, taking care not to get it up the pups nose or in inside it's mouth. Rinse carefully in slightly warm water then pick off any remaining fleas.
If the pup only has a few, you can wait on that.
If at all possible, get the pup to a Vet or to someone who can bottle feed it and care for it that has some experience or who can show you how to. GL!

first of all take it to the vet and get it checked. then go to petsmart or petco and buy puppy milk and a bottle and feed it every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. if u dont have a petsmart near u ask ur vet for this stuff.

EDIT: u cant use cows milk for dogs. it is bad for their digestive system. call ur vet up and see if u can bring the pup in tonight or see what u should to until morning

Take it to a Vet and the vet will set you up with a tube and show you how far down the throat and into the stomach to push the tube. ONce inserted you add the formula for new born puppies... and NO COWS MILK.

If this puppy lives you will never forget this experience... it is one that can be rewarding and at the very least you know you tried.

Go to the store and get the puppy formula. Dogs can't handle cow milk. If you can't find the puppy formula, take her to a vet or a rescue organization (e.g. the Humane Society, not the pound).

I'd take her to the vet but until then they have formula for puppies at the pet store. You might need to use an eye dropper since she's so tiny. You should try to give her some water with an eye dropper or anyway you can immediately. Her first issue is dehydration next is food!!!! You need to do this now!!!!!!!!!

Well keep it warm and keep it with you all the time don't leave it alone you can't use normal milk try to get to a store and buy powdered dog milk just mix with water I think if you can't get the dog kind I'm pretty sure that powdered kitty milk works with dogs as well. I hope you can get some thing for it to eat. How did the mom die?

Do not feed it milk. Go to Wal-mart now and get puppy formula if you want to keep it alive. Also, make sure you are keeping it warm. If you pull up on the skin and it doesn't go back down then the puppy is dehydrated and needs to eat asap!
