we had a baby beofre we were really together,we live together and sleep together ,but an old friend of ours ahs divorced her husband 2 days after going to a bar with my boyfriend (they both came home late).Then he delivered a tv. to her house and was supposed to be home for dinner but came home arround 8 for breakfast then he says hes going out with the boys for his birthday and wont be home that night the next day I find that there were no boys just him and her and he still got a DUI!!!He has alway been a big flirt and we dont really Know were we are going so when she sat on his lap for a hour and wrestled with him at my baby shower i was'nt to upset.I know I can't expect him to love me just because we have a kid but I am not flirting and trying to give our relationship a good try! I don't know my place or how much respect I should get!at my baby shower it was emberassing to have people ask me y she was on his lap and be ignored by him and her most of the night!! what can I do!

Sounds like the guy is more interested in the other girl...but hope i'm wrong! What they were doing at your baby shower was completely uncalled for. It was just plain wrong!
You need to have a serious talk with him, and tell him how you feel. Don't let him put you after anyone. You and your child should come first, or at least the child should! But he should at least treat you with the respect that you deserve!
I hope everything works out for you, and remember that you really don't need him...there are more fish in the sea!
Find someone who will treat you the way you deserve!

You need to move out, file for child support, and move on. I think you need to raise your self respect a bit as well and I will give you a link for that and there is other information there that may help you as well. Any man that will sit with some else during his babies shower has no redeeming qualities and when he comes to you to try again tell him to go back to her. wait until you find someone worth while to work on a relationship with but for now just concentrate on you and your baby. I never condemn anyone so I don't say this to condemn you, but this is the biggest reason sex should wait until after marriage so that you can make sure your partner isn't a jerk like this man is. try to talk to him find out where you are in this relationship if it dosen't seem to be going anywhere but him in her bed get out of it
