only mark is a picture of steer on snap and back.no name. any help as to maker ?. thanks

You have asked a question with hardly any information. The style "cowboy" is not enough to tag it down. Every holster maker makes a "cowboy" holster.
The picture of a steer may help someone if they happen to have one just like it, but I do not know of any books that list holsters and their makers.
Could it be possible that it belongs to a cow and that is a picture of his dad on the snap?

A photo of front and back would be most helpful.

Just calling the holster a "cowboy holster" leaves room for thousands of answers.
