The Stuttering Foundation of America's book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" is online at http://www.mnsu.edu/comdis/kuster/Therap...
This is the book that helped several of my uncles and cousins who couldn't go to a speech therapist who specialized in treating stuttering. They said that they had to work through the book and practice rather than just read the book.
You can also find online videos showing therapists working with people who stutter at www.stutteringhelp.org

I don't know about exersizes per say but i work with children and when one of my younger ones like three or so is stammering a lot i make them slow down and think carefully about what they are trying to say before they speak they tend to get so excited they open their mouths to speak before they are done thinking the thought. Be very deliberate about your speech. Hope this helps

a speech therapist would have more suggestions, but one thing I did with a boy I was working with that really seemed to help was to teach him to slow down and stretch out the vowel sounds in his words (I used elastic bands with words written on them to give him a visual.)
