Are meteor impact craters planted by satan as well? There are about 140 identified impact sites on the earth yet the bible does not make a single mention of the earth ever being hit by a meteor.

Also if we can identify 140 of them you can be assured that there would be many others that would have "erroded" in that "global flood" of yours.

Since this book goes back to the "dawn of man" and "creation of the earth" when did these 140 or so impacts happen over the last 6000 or so years?

Humans would not have survived most of them, but if they did they certainly would have taken notice and mentioned it somewhere. Or is this just evil science out to get you again?

Here is a list if you are interested

I used to live by Meteor Crater in Winslow, Arizona. The Navajo say that it is remembered by the people on this continent. It has been passed down by oral tradition. It's fascinating. It's dated at 49,000 years give or take 3000. That is a long time ago and it is in the Navajo memory.

Darwin, that's cool. I was going by some ancient records of people being brought to this continent thousands of years ago. That coincides with the Hopi creation story. It could use some study for sure.

Let me see if I can find some links on this. I don't want to spread garbage.

good question,
while I can accept the light was made to reach this planet to include red shift, I do not have an answer for this question

as to the navaho, my understanding of geology, was that the arizonia meteor vaporized everything for many miles. I would think few people could have survived the intense heat at even 200 miles, but I don't now remember just how far out the radiant heat burned everything.

The other one to keep in mind is the one that condemned the dinosaurs to death.

Be patient, I will look at this as my schedule permits.

squirt, i'm sorry but the navajo are wrong...current scientific estimates say that this continent was populated no earlier than about twenty thousand years ago and most likely later than that, at say, ten to thirteen thousand years ago...what ever is in the navajo collective memory, it isn't that crater's impact.
