A cold sore is a nasty blister thing. I know, because I have not one, but two of them on my top lip right now. It sounds like you have irritated and chapped mouth skin. For that I use peroxide to kill any germs, just in case, and then Vaseline to keep it from splitting more. It seems to take forever for these things to heal!!

If it appears flat and yellow, and is inside your mouth, then you're correct, it is a canker sore. I've had them regularly, and that i by and large put abreva on it, regardless of it being within my mouth and no longer on the outside. It burns particularly badly, but mine most commonly heal up in just a few days after that. It would also be a mouth blister, which you get in case you consume meals which are too acidic- like tomatoes, pickles, and oranges

man i have tried many different methods for cold sores. they look like little blisters, the trick is to not break the skin. i always wanted to put something on it ,but that really makes it worse, cause it moistens the area and then it sticks to your other lip then it opens the skin, then it takes forever to heal. I usually put peroxide on it ,helps dry it out and kill it,again the trick is to not break the skin and it will heal alot quicker.and don;t play around with the area .
