i have 7 that are here on work visas or have green cards.
i refuse to hire anyone who is "undocumented".
so i ask...if they are breaking the law by being here illegally why should i break the law and give them a job?
i worked hard to get where i'm at so why should i risk everything i have worked so hard for for someone who could care less about our laws?

it's not about being compliant...
it's about doing the right thing...and breaking any law isn't the right thing.

There seem to be too mindsets here. THe more conservative one is that success should be given to those who work hard , work hard and follow the rules. The other side states that it's too hard to follow the rules so we just take what we want. It's too hard to come here legally, so I just break the rules. It's too hard to be get rich so I would force the government to give me more benefits at the expense of those who did work there way up. It's too hard to graduate college, so we make fun of the college graduate and say there lazy and make stereotype that they all came from rich family and try to say picking lettuce or mopping floors contribute equally to those who can do brain surgery. It's too hard to learn English, so we force everyone else to learn Spanish. It's too hard to take the bus, so it's ok for people to drive around with out license. Life is not meant to be easy. People who trudge there way up should see a brighter future. I get mad that I had a group of assistants who hate me because I make more money than them. I offer to help them get a better education, and they tell me they are too lazy. Only one ever took my offer for help. They on the other hand try to mooch off me constantly. I compared how much I make after taxes compared to them, and found the difference negligible, plus i get no benefits for being poor. THey always think I have it easy or I'm rich, when that's the farthest from the truth. I don't believe in helping those who are less fortunate to me. I BELIEVE in those who want to Help themselves. Help the honest ones first. They atleast are not the ones that would stab me in the back latter on.

You shouldn't break the law,
I'm a legal immigrant here and have just got my green card. In the six months that I didn't have a green card or EAD I was regularly offered work at less than minimum wage and was criticized by some Americans for not working and letting my husband support me. I for one refused to put my legal status here in America at risk for the sake of a few dollars.

You shouldn't and as they continue to keep Americans aware of the issue the time will come that the government starts hammering business' with big fines so they stop hiring them. Once that happens we won't have to deport, they will run for the border

You followed the law. Good for you. How could it have been easier. Would a service which does a background check of employees been of any help? Check for citizenship, prior arrests, drugs, visa......

I'm thinking it could be a business opportunity. One stop shopping.

One doesn't need to hire a criminal to work for them. People who do hire them are no better then the criminal themselves.
victor S #3 answer live on some alternate planet Illegal and their enabler Mexican advocates only go to and do business with people of their group or support their criminal behavior.
Who needs their business anyway.

I think you are right. Did you know that now the "undocumented" are able now to recieve food stamps, medicaid, and such? Now, we have been paying our taxes like good little boys and girls and that money is going to someone who isn't even supporting our country!

Think about it.

If every company had the ethics as you there wouldn't be a illegal immigrant problem in this country no jobs = no illegals

If you brag about it, a lot of Hispanics will boycott your business. My favorite Mexican restaurant is considered off limits by many Hispanics here for that very reason.
