Does anyone have tips on making burned CD's play in car stereos? My car is a '96 and has a stock CD player. It takes a while of inserting and reinserting the burned CD to be read and play. My friend licks his CD's to make them play, and it works for his car, but it didn't work for mine.

most older cd players wont play burnt cds right, you can buy a good cd player that will also play mp3's for around a hundred bucks, and licking your cd's will ruin them by the way lol been there

Your best bet may be to replace the CD player. they are much better today, anyway. My son't 99 Civic only plays the CDs I burn using Memorex discs. So, the older models can be finicky.
